Ship Status: I have to say that I have been quite impressed with the continuous posting on the Chernov despite the holiday season. I was away an entire two weeks and even without a GM, Travis kept the crew busy with side sims. Well done, Travis!

USS Saracen

Ship Status: The Saracen has had a solid December, hitting around 150 posts in a month where posting limits were relaxed and we are still searching for a GM.

The Saracen, on the 29th of December celebrated her 10 year anniversary. And of course for that time we are docked at Starbase 257 between Sims, and undergoing repairs from the last mission as well as a 10 year upgrade.

After our sim we had a new XO arrive in Christopher Bennett, and crew promotions for our CMO, CoS, CMO, CE and CSO. Well deserved after such a long sim and writing period.

We have had five new writers join us in the last few weeks, along with a total of 7 new characters on the roster. The ship is going strong, is full of excellent stories and writing and Christopher has been a real asset to have as my XO, brilliant to bounce idea’s off.

Spotlight: Everybody on the crew is doing great, but that’s a cop out.

The return of Cass Young has meant she and James Sinclair have produced one of the best Counselor Check Ins I have ever read. It is amazing, full of sass, attitude and brilliant writing.

Trinity Fister has produced some excellent writing with her CTO in a number of threads, and as usual is a real joy to read. Her arrival thread is fun and her character well portrayed.

Lindsay and James are also producing another cracker of a counselor thread with Linds’ Corrinne Dalton/AI character, James keeps telling me it’s because he is a fantastic Counselor, I simply think he lucked out being on an awesome ship with such good people to write with ;)

And of course Kate O’Neill and Terry are on a humor filled date with a character Kate is running as support to a side sim, which I think took a turn more unexpected than first thought. Brilliant writing, especially with Kates description of the ex-husbands....

And of course Kate and Steven have a big, in depth thread going with more fantastic writing where Stevens character suddenly finds himself with a daughter that is now going to live with him. On a Battlecruiser. I’m sure that is going to turn out, just fine!

Vacancies: Junior Officers in Medical. We’ve had 5 new writers come on in the last few weeks and the roster is about full. i have also set the ship to not select new members, I am going to take steps to improve the general writing on board.

Ship Status: The ship is in great shape, despite not having a GM. We have a lot of side sims going which is keeping everyone occupied. We had 156 posts this month, which is awesome for a ship with no GM, during the holiday’s no less.

Spotlight: I would spotlight Cass Young and her outstanding portrayal of Fraiser Flynn. She has a great creative mind and I have really enjoyed reading her posts. I would also like to spotlight the whole crew, for posting 156 times in December, with No GM and over the holiday’s. Awesome job everyone!
