Ship Status: The ship continues to be healthy. The posts are slightly down this month. It happens when the talking sections of the mission is going on. We’ve also lost Linds, which a think has happened on many ship and that is, of course, painful.

There is an AWOL that we need to get back on the beam. But overall the crew and ship are well.

USS Merrimack

Ship Status: The Merrimack senior officers continue to present their lectures to the cadets of Starfleet Academy. Two lectures remain now. At the same time, several officers are taking shore leave and R&R in various side Sims. In the main Sim, Glen, Cross and Nkosenye continue their surprise inspection of Red Squad, now joined by Kord. In the cadet’s lockers they have found various items of contraband, but also a signed and incriminating photograph from Admiral Bradbury’s wife to a cadet. They will question the cadet privately when they have the opportunity, but the repercussions could be wide ranging.

There are many threads with many stories being told aboard the Merrimack. Everyone is posting within limits but the GM is on LOA so the main Sim is stalled.

Spotlight: Catt Bennett has been doing a lot of character building this month on leave on a beach in Iceland for her Andorian Comms officer, Tinga.

Oed V

Ship Status: Last month was more miss than hit. We did have some consistent posters, but we had a majority of people on LOA for valid reasons. Just a rough month overall. Many of our PRSIMs are coming to a close and we will be looking to start some more in the coming months. My own PRSIM is at its tail end.

We are losing Linds. I’m sad about it to be fair, but I definitely can understand and relate. Life is hectic and sometimes we need to cut back.

This leaves us with more openings.

Spotlight: I’d like spotlight Linds and all of the work she has done on Oed V. To say she has left her mark on the place is an understatement. Her assistance has been helpful and crucial at times. Thank you soooooo much for everything you have done. You will ALWAYS be welcome back to Oed.

Ship Status: I think fair to middlin is a good way to describe the ship. We have had some key players have to leave for RL reasons. It has ended some threads but others are still rolling. I have switched to some side sim stuff with my XO character right now to get back to basics.

Spotlight: WOW. Lets see. Lindsay for her commitment to the Eviros role and playing the mental aspects of the Prism out and not just the old action standby.

USS Olympic

Ship Status: The Olympic’s has had rough month or so. We lost our GM to AWOL. However, Terry was able to pick up the sim and is currently working towards a conclusion. We had 67 posts for the Month of March.

My character has arrived on the ship and is currently undergoing scans and other tests to ensure that he is the real deal and not an imposter. Not the way he was hoping to board the ship, but still a unique and enjoyable way to join a new ship.

Spotlight: Terry Sullivan for taking the reins on the ships sim to bring it to a satisfactory conclusion.

Ship Status: We’re heading toward the end of the sim. Unfortunately, our GM went AWOL So, after some discussion, I said I’ would try to finish things up and bring the sim to a close. Hopefully, I can do the sim some justice.

Other than that, our new Captain has arrived and is confused by the “drill” the crew is running. Welcome aboard, Chris. Hope we do our new captain proud. Along with that, we have a few former members returning to play previous characters they ran. Chris Perry as Toren Nalar and D Grisham as Micah Glass are back to live out their torrid, combustible relationship.

So, we are going to be needing a new GM soon (perferably sooner than later) to get us in a new sim soon.

USS Wolverine

Ship Status: Though I feel we’ve had a bit of a slowdown recently, the Wolverine keeps chugging along. . . we are currently in negotiations with a trader in the Delta Quadrant to trade information for information. We aren’t breaking the prime directive. . . much. Just bending it a bit. He’s got info on the Underspace and we need it. He wants info for adjacent areas of space and we can provide that!!

Science department and medical have figured out ways to get the ailing/mixed DNA crew members back to working order. It’s time now to put in it to practice and hope it works.

Bad news. We are losing our counselor, Lindsay Bayes as she needs to cut back on her ships. She plays a great counselor and will be sorely missed. With that being said. . . (see below in vacancies. . . .)

Ship Status: The CO and local traveler are discussing a trade between the two. We need information about Vaadwaur networks in order for the Wolverine to travel great distances in a short amount of time, and the traveler needs a map of the area the Wolverine just passed through.

LOAs and AWOLs are at a minimum, which is awesome since posting has increased somewhat since last month.

Spotlight: This month’s spotlight goes to Linds! It’s sad to see her leave the ship, especially since it was cool to see the bond between her and Terry’s character.

FComm Overall: The lack of reporting this month is a tad worrisome. Overall, the Black Fleet continues to do great and the lack of reports doesn’t diminish the fact that these COs, XOs, and GMs are hard at work in making their ships a great place to rp.
