This is a proposal for an amendment to Fleet Command and Other Mundane Matters (FComm). Discussion will be open for 7 days, ending on 8/10/19.Proposed Change:

The Fleet Commander must be a current or former CO of the fleet in question, or a current or former XO in the fleet in question with CO experience. The Assistant Fleet Commander must be a current or former CO or XO of the fleet in question.Proposed Revision:

PresidentI’d say:
The Fleet Commander must be a current or former CO. The Assistant Fleet Commander must be a current or former CO or XO.
As far as I can tell, what you had in the first sentence after the comma doesn’t add anything.

Yeah, I think I like Adam’s suggested wording a little better, because it clears up a potential source of ambiguity about whether Acting CO counts (even though it is explictly said later that it does not). Plus I’m all for brevity.

I would agree with the clearer wording.

So to be clear, the wording will read:
The Fleet Commander must be a current or former CO. The Assistant Fleet Commander must be a current or former CO or XO.

I agree with Joe, Adam and Krys in regards to the wording as I feel it is both clear and to the point witch will allow for members of the club to quickly adjust and understand to the criteria required to hold either position.
