The Infinite Fleet Report - September 2019

My apologies for the lateness of the report. My granddaughter came home with a whopper of a bronchitis virus which went through the house like wildfire. I am finally back on my feet though.

USS Chimera

Commanding Officer: D Grisham

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: A new sim has just barely started, so there isn’t much to tell. While flying along and minding its own business, the Chimera was thrown out of warp as if it had hit a wall. Right now, everyone is asking what happened and are reporting to their various duty stations.

Spotlight: No spotlight this month as the ship was in a transitional state with personnel.

Vacancies: We need Marines

Executive Officer: Gene Gibbs

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: Hey hey, new Andorian on the block. Who knew? We are at the beginning of a sim where chaos has come early in the form of a rather sudden stop and we are all trying to pick ourselves up and figure out what happened. Coming into this spot mid month I’m still getting an idea of the crew and ship - like whoever put the command crew on deck 2 and the bridge of this beast on deck 23?! Dare I say that with Jen’s arrival, his normal ‘army’ attitude toward ‘navy’ means that he feels he needs to get these navy wogs up to speed on things. We’ll see how that goes <G>

Spotlight: I’ll spotlight the rest of the crew for their only mild break with sanity to consider me on the ship.

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Luke Hung

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: Well, I’m back in the game with the Chimera. Its was two months off as I recharged my batteries and came up with what I hope will be an enjoyable on ship disaster sim. We do need a few more crew members getting involved as there are multiple simultaneous things going on so… lets jump in.,

FComm’s Comments: FComm Comments:
I am very happy to see the new Command staff settling in well and the new sim beginning. I am also very excited to see how all the new crew will mesh together.
D has settled in very well and Gene, as always plays an amusing character. I can see fur flying!

USS Constellation

Commanding Officer: Louis Harvatt

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Where do I begin what a fantastic month we had in August. A whopping 188 posts were submitted last month making it not only the best month of posting we have had so far this year but the best month for posting since we transferred over to Exodus in June 2018.

The start of August saw me on a 1 week LOA for my first Holiday in 12 years. During this time I was ecstatic to return to the news that the ship was booming with no AWOLs and other than the odd LOA a full green roster. A massive thank you to Katy, Emily and the Fleet Command team for there assistance in keeping the ship both active and in one piece.

August also saw the addition of crew and the shuffling of other crew members those been as follows. Sadly we lost Jim as our Medical Jo I wish him all the best in his other club-wide venture and look forward to hopefully Rp’ing with him on the Connie in the upcoming future. Furthermore, last month also saw the addition of Gene Gibbs to the Connie family. Gene after persistent nagging lol has joined the family as our new Councillor playing a brilliant Klingon Character what a brilliant start you have made Gene I look forward to working with you in the coming future and have enjoyed our time so far together on the Constellation a lot.

On a smaller note, I am also happy to announce that following a discussion with Liam and my command team we have come to the unanimous decision that instead of playing an Ambassador Character we have decided to know to call his role Cultural Advisor. His duties are to include Ettiquette lessons for example. etiquette 101: How not to annoy a Vulcan. Although this is still early days I am hopeful of good things to come.

In regards to the main sim, both Em and the crew have the main sim moving along at a comfortable pace with Team 2 aboard the shuttle and on route to Evergen. I can not wait to see what happens next with each post more detailed than the next.

Furthermore, there are presently a high number of Side Sims taking place on the Connie the majority I am currently a part of and finding highly interesting. These varying from mysterious devices located on the holodeck to a mysterious young girl leading the captain on a wild goose chase to find an unknown blue individual on the ship.

Other than that there is nothing to report regarding the Constellation I look forward to seeing good things from the ship over the next few weeks.

Spotlight: This month I have decided to spotlight the following crew members for there exceptional work onboard the USS Constellation during the month of August there are some familiar names from previous fleet reports but I have decided to include them once again for there continued hard work.

Emily Stephenson:

I have decided to spotlight Em on two counts this month the first been for her exceptional work as the ship Gamesmaster and secondly for her work with the development of the ever so intriguing character Kallie. Over the last month, I have worked closely with Em over the last month and look forward to seeing great things take place between the in character friendship between my Character and Em’s

Sam Pennington:

Where do I begin over the last month or so Sam has not only been playing out his Chief Engineer character but has been also been playing a Nameless Ensign character by the name of Yelchin and what an exceptional job he has been doing on both parts. I have had many laughs with Sam’s characters over the last few weeks and look forward to working with Sam and his two characters for many months to come.

Gene Gibbs:

August brought our most recent addition to the crew this been in the form of Gene Gibbs as our new Klingon Councillor. I have been wanting Gene on my ship for some time and was ecstatic when we finally managed to entice him onboard. What a brilliant start Gene has made with his Klingon CNS. Gene has thrown himself in the deep end getting stuck in with a number of different threads. Each post more detailed and enjoyable than the last

Vacancies: Please see Ship Profiles for up to date vacancies.

Executive Officer: Katy Darrah

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: Ship is progressing steadily. One minor problem player who we are dealing with. 8’s are due to my extended absence due to an injury that’s just healing up

Spotlight: Decline to put a spotlight

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Emily S.

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 9

Sim Overview: We have had a great month on the Constellation, having had the most active month since June 2018. Our newest crew members have settled in well and are producing some great posts. Everyone has been engaged in the sim and we have finally been able to get the second half of the sim underway. It has been a joy to GM the Constellation and I am keen to see how the crew handles the next part of the sim.

Spotlight: My spotlight for this month goes to Gene Gibbs. When Gene told me he was bringing a Klingon counsellor on board, I knew we would be in for a laugh and he has certainly delivered. His posting has been outstanding and often has me giggling. We are extremely fortunate that he has come to join our wacky crew!

FComm’s Comments: FComm Comments: I am happy to see the Connie doing so well this month and the crew so active. The activity of the Command staff has picked up and is working on keeping everyone posting.

Starbase Magellan

Commanding Officer: Jim Watkin

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: We are now in the process of wrapping up the sim - postinbg levels have dropped a little over the summer due to holidays and LOAs (including my own). The crew have maintained a level of posting whilst I have been off and I will be checking and contacting AWOLs etc once I’ve caught up from my own LOA.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: We currently have vacancies for a Marine CO & Marines

Executive Officer: Steve Johnson

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: Magellan is humming along. With Jim having joined, we were able to wrap up the simm, and move into some character development as we get used to the new dynamic. We’ve got some new staff on board, which also helps. I’m excited to see what the next simm will be!

Spotlight:

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Excused

FComm’s Comments: FComm Comments: I have no concerns with the Magellan though posts have dropped off slightly. The sim has wrapped up and I am curious to see what the plans are for her next.

USS Viking

Commanding Officer: Excused

Executive Officer: Jim Watkin

Crew Posting Level: 4
Senior Staff Posting Level: 3
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: Posting wise there have been a number of LOAs throughout the last month (including my own) due to summer holidays, but things are starting to pick up again.
Simwise - Most of the crew are at various places on the colony following the transporter’s game and I am looking forward to just how evil our GM can be.

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Emily S.

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: It has been a bit of a mixed month for the Viking, we started off very well with lots of people engaged in the sim but it has dropped off a bit towards the end of the month. Unfortunately half of the command/DH crew are either AWOL or LOA at the moment so things are moving slowly. Those who are around have tried to keep things moving but it is difficult as they don’t always get a response. I am hoping that this is a bit of a blip due to the start of term and that things will pick up soon. We have just had Matt Evans join us as COS and I am sure once people are back from LOA, things will start moving again.

Spotlight: Spotlight for this month goes to Hjortur Ingi. Hjortur has been engaged with the main sim and trying to keep things moving. I have also plonked 3 NE’s down on the surface which he has been juggling very well too.

FComm’s Comments: FComm Comments: I have been having a few concerns with the Viking over the last month or so but have spoken with all Command staff and they are going to be attempting to get things back on track again. Ems is a great GM and she is willing and able to provide an exciting sim:)

Overall Fleet Comments: Other then my concern for the Viking, the Infinite Fleet is in great shape this month. I am quite happy with all my Command Staff. Well done folks!
