Let’s continue the promotion train! Fleet Captain is the first of what we consider flag ranks. The requirements for the promotion, which are laid out in the “Member Order and Organization” bylaw, state:
For exceptional service to the club, the President can promote members beyond the rank of Captain. Fleet Captain is a mark of commitment or contribution to the club above and beyond the usual requirements.
It is my pleasure to recognize three members for their commitment to the club, above and beyond the usual requirements.
James Sinclair – I’ve worked with James many times since he joined. Having recruited him to the Chimera shortly after he graduated from the Academy, to serving as his VP last term. This term, James stepped up when I asked, without hesitation. Taking on the role of Pioneer Fleet FComm, and SOX.
Dave Eads – Since returning to STF, Dave has been regularly contributing to our discussions in command, and was instrumental in the creation of our newest simm, the USS Sentinel. Since its creation, the Sentinel has excelled, and just recently flew through it’s review.
Silke Fahl – Also a recently returned member to STF. With Silke’s return, she quickly picked up right where she left off. Joining the Challenger as a department head, stepping into the roles of Assistant Fleet Commander of Meridian Fleet and Assistant CMM. Not to mention she just finished up serving as our Assistant Election Coordinator.
For work above and beyond the usual requirements, it is my pleasure to promote James Sinclair, Dave Eads, and Silke Fahl to the rank of Fleet Captain. With all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of the rank.
