I’ll jump in more in a bit but I’d like to ask that we don’t continue to discuss people’s OOC ranks here and whether they deserve any jump. We can discuss in general terms, but let’s keep from discussing people specifically.

Sarah, PrezWhen the CO adds members to the ship at ranks higher than they otherwise hold, that would be promoting them. Placing a member on the ship with a rank of Commander would be a promotion that would require the approval of the FComm in the fleet the ship will be in. So either that should be done or the member shouldn’t be placed with a rank of Commander.

That was a bit of a quick phone post, so let me clarify. I think that discussing, in general, that transitioning to main fleet and the implications on people’s OOC ranks should be discussed; I’d just like to keep the discussion away from “why X person deserves Y promotion.” That is not a discussion that I find appropriate to have in Command.
