As the new Engineering Director I wanted to post the goals and direction that I want to take the department. First off I would like to thank Rear Admiral Robert Archer for his dedicated work he has done for the engineering department.
I have a few things that I want to focus on.
I know that new submissions were suspended. I will be evaluating the process and requirements in order to reopen acceptance of submissions.
I will be opening discussions in order to review what changes need to be made to the Milwaukie plan and modern navy plan. The end goal of any changes are two fold, the first goal is to ensure that we are in line with Cannon, the second is to ensure that we are able to provide a wide range of classifications along with ensuring that creating submissions is a easy process.
To foster a environment that supports and encourages the submission of technologies that will ensure that we are better able to bring new designers into a system that allows for us to better serve the club.
To ensure that we are able to quickly and efficiently review and approve technologies and not get stuck in a slow loop that discourages people from making submissions.
While this is a very short listing of a large job I wanted to get this posted. I will be working hard to ensure that we are able to get these goals rolling quickly.
