[snip]

In the year 2360 Starfleet was a hive of expanding activity with the launch of the Galaxy class explorers and Nebula class cruisers. There were so few of these ships, that Starfleet put out a call for refitting of older designs to fill the gap until new ship building could catch up with demands.

Unnecessary comma here.

=== Noted!

Phaser Systems

The Baker uses eight Type-7 paired phaser banks. They are positioned as follows:

One pair of banks ventral and dorsal on the forward sections of the primary hull with two emitters each.
<strike>One pair</strike> Two pairs of banks ventral and dorsal arranged to port and starboard on the primary hull with two emitters each.
One pair of banks ventral and dorsal positioned on the central aft area of the secondary hull with two emitters each.

Contrary to what Kevin read, this is actually eight phaser banks. Still, the description of the four banks on the port and starboard should say, “Two pairs” instead of “One pair” (See edit above). The other option would be to have one pair of ventral and dorsal banks on the starboard, and one pair of ventral and dorsal banks on the port.

== Fixed!

Bridge

The Baker class bridge is located on Deck 1. It is arranged in a circular shape. The bridge is equipped with easy modular setup for refits, repairs and replacement as needed. The aft end of the bridge contains 4 auxiliary consoles for miscellaneous personnel needs. Centered along a railing aft of the Captain’s chair, from port to starboard are the combined tactical/security console, two science consoles and a communications console. Just forward from this straight railing on a triangle shaped dais is the ship’s commanding officer chair. Forward of the commanding officer’s chair is the helm station. Forward of the helm station is the ship’s main view screen, to the port side of the view screen is a turbolift. Emergency access to the bridge is gained by a single Jeffries tube located centrally on the floor, in front of the helm station.

It’s either the Commanding Officer’s chair or the Captain’s Chair (capitalization optional). Uniformity in description is helpful. Otherwise, this is definitely easier to envision than the previous iterations.

== Fixed!

Auxiliary Spacecraft Systems

The Baker class has a single shuttle bay located on the aft sections of the secondary hull on decks 6 and 7.

By default the shuttle bay holds the following auxiliary craft:

2 Armadillo class shuttles

I just caught this. Similar to the armory in the previous draft, using a combat-grade shuttle on a science vessel seems excessive. We could just say that they use Type-10, Type-11, or Class 2 Shuttles.

== Just to reflect their age I’m going with the Type-6 shuttle

Some minor nitpicks here and there still to iron out, but this is an improvement from last time. The review stays open until June 1, 2020.

Thanks Nick!

Robert Archer

So should i assume this got returned to me Nick? :P

Robert Archer

Sorry I have been absent in my duties here as of late. Yes, Rob, the review period has closed and the specification is returned to the designer for further revisions.
