As per the Election Timetable, the nomination period is now over.At this time, only one ticket was nominated and validated.
Since my appointment as Election Coordinator, I have put up multiple messages in the News area and on Discord. In addition, in my earlier posts I asked any potential candidates to let me know if they were concerned that they had a few days less notice then as required in the bylaw, and no one contacted with any concerns. Finally, I believe it was well known in STF that November was the next STF presidential election. Therefore, I have no reason to doubt that anyone who wanted to be nominated has had plenty of opportunity to do so.
I therefore close the nominations.
The LEGOE bylaw states: “If at any time after the end of the nomination period there is only one validated ticket, then pending any unresolved election-related disputes, the Election Coordinator may declare an Uncontested Election.”
I therefore exercise my discretion and declare an Uncontested Election. Steve Johnson is acclaimed as the next STF President with Sarah Hemenway as his Vice President. Their term shall start on December 1st at 14:00 pm (GMT -5), with a ceremony in Discord at the same time.

I’m also going to have the Election Ship stay up until the start of the new term, and I will continue to moderate it until then. This will give Steve and Sarah an opportunity to answer any questions they wish about their upcoming term, as many members use this information to have a better understanding of what to expect during the next term.
