For Veep nominees:

Why? Why on Earth would you want to be Vice?

To be honest, after my term as President, I was very wary of trying to take on an Executive level role again. When Jerome asked, I initially declined. But when he told me about his ideas, his desire to see the club become more community-based and welcoming of new ideas and input; I felt that was a direction that I wanted the club to move towards as well, so I agreed.

A solid team is critical for the Prez & Veep. How often do you talk with your counterpart on the ticket, what is your relationship like?

Jetome and I speak almost daily. Not just about STF, but about being Dads, politics, sports… a whole gambit of topics. We are good friends in STF, social media, and real life. It also helps that not only did we both go to the same university, but we live less than 2 hours apart. During this term, I imagine our conversations will focus a great deal more on STF, but the fact that we talk often anyway will only help that.

Describe your style of collaboration with your Prez.

As I said above, Jerome and I communicate a great deal. Our collaborations tend to be direct and focused on solutions and effective results. Do we always agree? Oh, not by any stretch. But when we do disagree, we both come at the disagreement from the perspective of “Where is the middle ground? How do we compromise in order to make this productive?”
