Overall GMDir Comments:
Usual reminder for GMs/COs/FComms in general: Remember to file your paperwork.
January saw a fair amount of churn. Not all of which will be recounted here but the major highlights are:
- Lindsey stepped down as AGMDir, and Sam was promoted to take her place.
- Lindsey was appointed to Archivist. I continue to thank Linds for her presence and help with the GMD and honestly do not know what I would do without her.
- The tough decision to remove a GMT lead to a discussion on the GMD about what the process should be for when this happens. I encourage all of you to read and provide feedback. The GMDept staff will be drafting either an update to OGRE or an updated mandate to incorporate clarity into the process. Note: Any resolution we come up with will not affect current GMTs.
- Katy Darrah has been asked to be returned to the program. FComms, this means I now have 2 GMTs that need placement. If you have an opening arise, please let me know so that we can see if one of them would be a good fit for you.
- Due to a rather desperate situation on a ship, I approved Sam Pennington to go over allotment. This means there are now 3 over. GMs who are over, consider speaking with the CO/FComm at the end of your sims to see if a ship you are on might be a good fit for a GMT.
- As was requested from me by Command: All of the FComms decided to be the Single Wringable Neck (SWN) for GM matters in their fleet. This means that, ultimately, the filling of a vacancy or removal of a GM will fall on their shoulders. I hold no opinion on how this occurs but make myself and Sam available for consultation.
