Junior Archivist Wanted

As Sam has retained me as Archivist, I am looking for someone to help me out in the GMD with Archive related projects. This is a Training Position for anyone interested in getting to know how the GMD is run, and therefore I am looking for someone who has not worked in the GMD before and either has taken the GM Exam or intends to (experienced GMs welcome to apply!). We want to keep growing the pool of people familiar with how the GMD is run, so it’s important to me that the person chosen is dedicated and in it for the foreseeable future. Once the new Archive is up and running, I will be happy to step down as Archivist and give our trainee the opportunity to work directly with the Director and Assistant Director in everyday GMD activities.

Duties:

Assisting the Archivist with data entry into the old Archive as required (a training voice call will likely be required as the Archive is… complex)
Beta-testing the new Archive
Helping to clean up GM records for the future migration to the new Archive
Participation in GMD discussions and learning about departmental processes and procedures

Requirements

Been in the club at least 3 months (90 days)
Taken the GM Exam , or intends to, with the full intention of getting their GM license (if they don’t already have it)
Ability to devote an hour or so a week to work in the backend of the Archive to prep for migration later this year
Desire to work in the GMD
