Hello everyone!The results of our book selection poll are in! All the suggested books are on the schedule, just in the order that people wanted to read them the most (ties are listed in random order).
How it Works
Each month we will read the listed book. Ideally you’ll want to have the book finished before we start any discussions, but if you’re a bit behind you can still participate. This first month will be something of a trial to see if what I had envisioned works the way I think I will. That is, I am hoping to post discussion topics once or twice a week starting on the 15th of each month with the idea that people should be aiming to be at the 50% mark by the 15th. I’ll make sure the topics aren’t spoilers for the point in the book we’re hopefully at and leave the big topics for the end.
Discussions will carry on as long as there is input in them, even if we’re already reading the next book. Overlap is entirely expected. Knowing the book selections in advance allows people to read ahead if they want/need to, or secure the book if they need to waitlist at a library etc. This is meant to be as inclusive as we can make it.
I’ll be more or less running the book club, but if anyone is interested in helping out, please let me know. I’m expecting that any volunteers are avid readers, interested in and/or participated in book clubs before and able to complete tasks with deadlines.
I’m open to suggestions and will try to make sure thing work for the majority of the group. If something isn’t working, we’ll adjust as needed.

And, an amendment: due to their interest and my ongoing hand pain issues, I’m going to turn over the organization of the book club to Cale and Russ. Thank you both! I’m looking forward to our first read.
People planning to read the book and participate should still indicate their interest, and no you don’t have to participate every month if you’re not able.

TribbleHi folks, I just saw that the authors of ‘The Redemption of Althalas’ had the surname from the previous author next to them. The surname as now corrected in the list and is ‘David and Leigh Eddings’.

Just another correction for you. The author of the Thirst (aka The Last Vampire) series is Christopher Pile. Thirst Vol 1 combines his original first three novels into one edition.
