Noticing that sickbay was finally quiet for the past forty five minutes she decided to close out of her shift a few minuets early and go to her quarters to change. She was after all about to meet the new XO in the lounge for some blood wine.

When she got to her quarters she stripped off her blue coloured uniform and took a sonic shower.
After the shower she took out one of her new garbs out that was the latest in Klingon fashion. All leather corset of course with studs and showing a great deal of cleavage. She also wore a tight red leather skirt, as well as red knee high leather boots. She then put on her com-badge and her sash with all her metals, Klingon and starfleet. She looked her self in the mirror and was quite pleased with how she looked. Her dark brown skin contrasted with the Red outfit. You would think that it would clash with the colour of her skin but it all some how worked in her favour. If she was on Kronos any elegble male Klingon would be fighting to get a chance to be with her.

Satisfied with how she looked she exited her quarters and made her way to the lounge. She greeted some of the crew on her way to the lounge. Some sniggered but most complimented her with her wardrobe. When she arrived at the lounge she looked around to see if the Commander was already there. She did not see her so she went to the bartender. “Wendel get out a barrel of 2336 blood wine. The new XO and I will be drinking tonight.”

She then found a booth near a forward facing window and sat down.

Wendel brought her a pitcher of blood wine and a few tankards should anyone else join her.

DeVries, busied with the haphazard mess of anyone’s first day, did not have the pleasure of checking out earlier than she had hoped. In fact, she was running a few minutes late, but in the company of blood wine, she doubted Kalitta would be too distraught. Finally free from her shift, despite hardly minding the constant flow of work, Jasmijn made a quick stop at her quarters. Hopping into the sonic shower to wash the excitement of the day from her broad shoulders, she made an effort to pick up her speed, before her tardiness really made all the difference on how this evening might go.

With everything of importance still packed away, including her best leathers and corsets, she was forced to settle for less. Pulling on a pale ivory shirt, its sleeves meeting the mid of her forearms, she tugged it down to relieve the fabric of antagonizing wrinkles. Once satisfied (meaning it was still relatively rugged in appearance), she slipped into a beige tunic, tying a hickory tinted belt around her waist. Adding cloth leggings, she forced her feet into basic shoes, rising to her feet. The outfit was casual for any Klingon citizen, but far too uncerimonial for her liking. Grumbling, she waved a hand in disapproval, escaping the confines of her quarters before the thought had her digging through her kit for any sign of those leathers.

Sauntering through the halls, she acknowledged a few of the Lieutenants and Ensigns that passed, most of them too engrossed in their PaDDs or conversations to care. Alas, it mattered little to Jasmijn, her mind admittedly set on meeting with Kalitta– and the bittersweet memory of blood wine on her tongue. Arriving at the lounge, Jasmijn searched for the doctor. She was unmistakable amongst the opposing officers dressed in civilian clothing, her red outfit a striking contrast to the skin so unique to their people.

A smirk of satisfaction dancing across her hybrid features, Jasmijn wasted no time in making her way over to Kalitta. “Kalitta, you bring honour to us all,” Jasmijn declared, once in earshot of the opposing woman. Despite the Dutch accent spilling into her words, her tone was distinctly Klingon.

Her last foray into the Lounge having ended in disaster, the somewhat shy CSO was hesitant to go there again, but she knew that socializing with humanoids was the only way to get used to them. In the pursuit of knowledge, one must accept some discomforts. The emptiness made it feel like she was the only being around, although living creatures surrounded her day in and day out. There was no avoiding it forever, she knew that, but sometimes it was easier to be alone if she was physically alone as well.

The young alien officer grabbed some jeans and a tank top and dressed in a distinctly human style that had been refitted for her anatomy. Pants were nice, she had to admit, even if she sometimes missed her skirts and scarves. She glanced over at the intricately woven garments hanging in her closet. Even those were verging on the edge of being formal clothing. Unfortunately, she had the distinct opinion that humans wouldn’t approve of her putting on her hip wrap and walking around shirtless, despite her thick covering of fur and lack of, oh what did they call them… mammary bumps.

Sadie stepped out of her quarters, and a few minutes later, she stepped into the lounge. Spotting a figure that could be no one but the CMO near another tall alien, she casually stepped over (after quickly ordering herself a fruit cider) and sat down near the pair. “Hello, Kalitta,” she said. “Although I can’t join you in the enjoyment of Blood Wine, would you mind if I join you in the spirit of drinking?” she smiled, lifting her alcoholic beverage. She looked at the other tall alien and sized her up by smell, sniffing the air a little to determine what she could about this individual. “And who is your half-klingon friend?”

Sadie, CSO

Myrok knew the lounge when he stepped through the door. He saw his department head and walled over to the table not really noticing the doctor” Ma’am may I have a word?”

“Commander, you honor me with your presence. Please sit and have a tankard of blood wine.” Kalitta poured the tankard as the new XO took her seat.

“Gladly,” Jasmijn would be a fool to pass up blood wine. Eagerly, she took a seat across from the Doctor.

Just then Sadie showed up. ”Lieutnant please come join us.”

Lt. Cmdr - Kalitta - CMO

“Ah, Lieutenant Sadie. You’re the Science Chief around here, yes?” DeVries offered a crooked grin.

The oppressive force of her Junior officer was once again intruding into her attempts to go anywhere outside her quarters. Sadie’s genuine smile twisted into a slight grimace as she glanced at her watch. “I’m sorry, I’m afraid I have some things to do that I didn’t realize. It was nice to meet you, whoever you are,” her smile was strained as she got up with her cider and quickly left the Lounge. For a moment, she considered turning back around, but a quick glance back at Myrok changed her mind. No. It was best if she didn’t antagonize herself by forcing herself to stay near him.

Sadie, CSO

Kalitta was taken back a bit when Saide suddenly left. “That’s the second time she has done that in the past few days. I wonder what is up with her and Myrok that has her so on edge.” She said looking accross the room to Myrok.

“Conflict isn’t uncommon between superior and subordinate. Perhaps there was a falling out between them,” Jasmijn watched her go, slight concern behind her voice. “They’re officers, I’m sure they can sort things out for themselves.”

“My apologies, please lets drink.” Kalitta took the tankard in her large hand and held it up. “Welcome to the Ark Angel Commander. May your stay here be glorious and fruitful.” Kalitta then took a big gulp of her wine and some of it dribbled down the side of her mouth onto her chest and then dribbled down into her cleavage.

“I can drink to that, Doctor.” Jasmijn briefly rose her tankard in agreement, taking a large quaff of the blood wine, its colour remaining prominent on her mouth and chin.

“So DeVries what has brought you to the Ark Angel? Besides the obvious open XO position.”

Lt. Cmdr - Kalitta - CMO

Setting the tankard down, she glanced over at Kalitta. “I admit, my purpose here is nothing special. For the past several years, I’ve been.. jumping between different ranks in Starfleet,” She admitted. “I guess the ways of the Marine Corps don’t always apply to them,” Jasmijn chuckled, shaking her head in mild amusement. She was raised to be a Kligon warrior, and opted for the Marines instead.. needless to say, she wasn’t exactly Starfleet material, at first. “Besides the point,” She waved her hand, “When the position was offered, I began looking into the Ark Angel– what I could of her, at least. She was different, from what I could tell. I don’t know, I guess I just like places that aren’t cliché.” She shrugged, “And since I’ve arrived, this ship has been everything but.”
