Oscar wasn’t normally a nervous guy, infact he would of called himself selfassured, some would say cocky. Today he was uneasy, after leaving the academy he was about to embark on his career as a Starfleet officer, in security none the less; he was more used to causing the trouble in his younger days. Now though, he was going to be preventing the trouble.With a slight tug on his uniform he looked in the mirror his shaven head shining in the artificial light of his room. He’d shaved his previous beard down to fine stuble uncovering his cheek tattoo.
“Computer, time.”
“The time is 0830 hours.” Came the reply.It took him a couple of a stops checking the maps the make sure he was heading the correct way for the security office.
At 0845 Hill got to the door. He pressed the bell.

=^=Enter=^= Came the reply. Inside, sitting behind a desk reading something on a padd, was a middle eastern looking man in his early 30’s. He had dark hair and eyes and was of average height and build. He was leaning back in his chair with a padd in his hand and a couple others sitting on his desk.

Hill ducked in just under the frame of the door. His massive frame more like a mountain than a human. As he straightened up he tugged down on his uniform. “Ensign Oscar Hill reporting as order, sir.” He held his square chin high and was the picture of a Star fleet officer; hair cropped short, clean shaven and crisp uniform.
“I have my transfer papers here as well as a note from Commander Ji-Son of the USS Seoul.” He handed over the PaDD.
Tiglath looked up at the new officer for a moment before setting down the padd he was reading and taking the new one.
“At ease before you sprain something.” He said, motioning to a nearby chair. He then pulled up the transfer paperwork.

Ensign Hill his hereby transfer to your department aboard the Ark Angel. He has passed out with honours.

Lt. Ashur,
Oscar Hill is a good man, he has studied diligently, he has shown improvements in weak areas in the weeks since graduation. He is by no means the finished article but he is going to get there and I believe he will make a mighty fine officer who will make both you and the Angel proud to have him aboard. As he sponsor, I would like to be keep up to date with his progress. If you have any issues or concerns do not hesitate to get in contact.

“Welcome Ensign.” He stated simply. “Commander Jin-Son thinks very highly of you.” He set down the padd on top of a couple others. He then sat more upright. “As you are already aware, I am Lt Tiglath Ashur, Your department head. How was your transfer over?” He asked as he seemed to study the new ensign.

“Thank you sir.” He relaxed his stance a little, ” The transfer was without frustration even if the journey was a little cramped for my large frame. I am happy to be off the transport vessel to say the least.”
