Simon sat patiently in the shuttle as he departed the academy for the last time. Now it was time to put the last four years training to use. He had made it. He had successfully completed the Academy program and was now officially a Star fleet officer. Before he left, he sent a message letting his parents know the news and that if he found anything out about his brother, he would let them know what he could. He looked down at the PaDD with his assignment on it. It provided the name of the ship, the registry number and the CO and chief of security. He made sure he had his own assignment PaDD ready as the shuttle dropped out of warp in front of Starr’s new home.

The pilot of the shuttle opened up Comms and let the communications officer on the ship that the new Security officer was inbound, asking whether the captain wanted to meet him in the transporter room or the shuttle bay.

A reply came back from NE Fill that Fleet Captain Andone would meet him in her ready room off the bridge after his check in with the chief of security.

“Looks like they’re ready for you ensign. Sending coordinates to the communications officer now for your transport,” and a few moments later the small interior of the shuttle that Simon had travelled on was replaced with the interior of the transporter room. Looking over at the transporter operator Starr nodded and walked over to them. “I’m looking for a…” Starr began before pulling out his PaDD one more time to make sure he got the name correct, “a Liuetenant Ashur. I’m one of the new Security officers, guessing it would be best to report to deck 14?” he asked. “That’s probably where you’ll find him, if his available,” the transporter officer replies.

On that motion, Starr exited the transporter room and headed to the turbolift. This ship was much bigger than the academy ship he had just come from, and things were busy. He thought it best to just make sure that his chief knew he had arrived. He approached the Security office and took a look around. Finding the officer on duty he produced a PaDD and asked “Hello, I’m looking for the Chief of Security, I’ve been told he’d most likely be around here somewhere,”
