=/\= Captain, all injured are currently stable, however, two remain in critical condition. You’ll want to come down and introduce yourself to the leader. =/\=

=/\= I’ll be down in a moment Lieutenant Commander =/\= The Fleet Captain said.

Turning to the XO she said, “..Exec, keep an eye on scans for those two ships, I want transporter locks on our crew and as many of the Yellek crews we can get if their cores breach.” she said.

“Aye, Captain.” DeVries answered, heading over to an adjacent operations station to set up a transporter lock on each of the away team members.

Turning to Hill she said, “Ensign, run a information gathering scan on the Yellek ships, composition, system properties, the works. This will be our first chance to fully analyze their capabilities and further understand their construction methods..” She said. “..Questions?” she asked.

Once any questions were answered she entered the turbolift heading to sickbay.

“Right away, Sir.” He looked down at his console, he was gla nod to see it was virtually the same as the consoles at the academy. His fingers moved without thinking muscle memory at its very best. He ordered the scans in the order the captain asked for. No point in confusing things at this moment in time.

Once the locks were in place, Jasmijn shifted gears to keep an eye on the internal scans of the two Yellek ships. Briefly, she glanced over at Hill to see how he was doing. “How are those scans, Hill?” She asked. Meanwhile, she watched the scans from the corner of her eye.

Scans showed the ships were made of nickel-steel and other common composites and minerals. Their capabilities were on par with a species new to deep space flight. Most of the outlying materials was on par with early Starfleet space flights after First Contact. There were no obvious signs of shielding or weapons.

“Seems to be what we would expect from a species only just on the path to deep space flight Nickel-steel mixed with other composites. I am not picking up any form of shielding or weaponry.” He said.

As a basic security procedure Hill ask the computer to scan the surrounding space settings parameters to give him notice if anything other than Yellek vessels came within 3 LYs of the Ark Angel.

Scans out to 3 light years showed nothing amiss so far or interesting on sensors.

“Hmm, that means they would be in immediate danger at the sign of any assailant.” Jasmijn remarked, running another scan over the Yellek ships to check for any fluctuations in their energy emissions or any further indications of breech in their engine core. “Any signs of other ships in the area? Yellek or otherwise?” With how primitive their technology was in comparison to their own, she wondered if the Yellek had any means of scanning for downed ships, which would notify Yellek operations of their two sitting ducks.

There were no sign of other ships Yellek or otherwise.

GM CockRoach

The scans came back. “No other ships in the area at the moment, sir.” He set the scanners to periodically scan the surrounding space.

Hill, Sec

“All right. Keep an eye on long-range scans.” Though she doubted any Yellek ships would be showing up anytime soon, it was better to keep an eye out just in case.
With scans yielding nothing of grave importance, she decided to check up on the away teams.
=^=DeVries to Lt. Sadie, how is the core looking? Is she stable?=^=

Lt. Cmdr. DeVries
XO

“Aye Captain.” Hill replied as he set about continuing the scans.

Hill Sec

DeVries nodded to Hill, glancing down at scans of the ships’ composition.

OOC: pasting from right away team.
IC:
=^=Lt. Sadie to DeVries, she is stable. We are warming her up now.=^=
Lt. Sadie, CSO

=^=Understood, Lieutenant. Keep us apprised.=^= DeVries cut the comm. Although Sadie’s team was doing well, she wasn’t convinced they were out of the woods, yet. They still had one more team possibly left in the field of danger. Checking the transporter locks on both teams, Jasmijn contacted the second group.

=^=DeVries to Lieutenant Emmit. Report; how’s the Yellek core holding up? Any changes?=^=

Lt. Cmdr. DeVries
XO

“Sounds like everything is in track sir.” Hill said.

Hill checked the scans again.

Hill, Sec

=^= Emmiit here, summary short, but the fusion reactor powering these batteries is in bad shape, not sure how long Five Shellecks is, but I’d say we don’t have long and we might have to eject the core. I have one thing I could try, but I’m not sure how far along the cascade reaction is Commander. =^=

Lt. (jg) Chris Emmitt (CE)

=^=What do you have in mind, Lieutenant?=^= DeVries paused, considering their stance. If the core was in danger of breaching, they needed to begin evacuation as soon as possible to ensure minimal fatalities.

=^=We’ve have transporter locks on your team and the Yellek crew. If your best bet is ejecting the core, we need to start evacuation of the crew, now. Time is of essence, and we don’t have much of it.=^=

“Hill, scan the left Yellek ship for any signs of impending core breach,” and she glanced down at the comms.

Lt. Cmdr. DeVries
XO

“Yes Commander.” He replied.

He ran his hands over the console keeping the parameters for the checking for other ships but setting up a new set to scan the ship on the left hand side for the immediatecy of a core breach.

Hill, Sec

[GM reply]
OOC: Crossing posting from Left Yellek Ship.
IC:

=^= Well .. thankfully we had their ideas ahead of time so I thought ahead as well .. I brought a container of Argon gas just in case which should start to cancel the reactions within the reactor due to the heavy ions colliding with the electrons to slow ..” =^= He was getting off track and didn’t have too much time to explain so he cut it short.

=^=I understand how Argon gas works, Lieutenant. Your point being?=^= Jasmijn urged, time not a creature she wanted to trifle with.

=^= “The gas will either slow or stop the cascade Commander. Worst case, we’ll have time to evacuate everyone and clear the area, but I’m sure it would be a huge loss for them if they lose the ship ..” =^= He sort of continued, but it was very quiet, ” =^=Not to mention I wouldn’t get to see the rest of it ..” =^=

Emmitt, CE

=^=We have enough room to accommodate them for a short while, if worst comes to worst, Lieutenant.=^= Jasmijn assured over the comms, =^=Keep up the work, Emmitt. Hopefully that Argon gas can stay its containment. Keep us apprised, bridge out.=^=

Lt. Cmdr. DeVries, XO

Scans showed first the right ship then the left ship stabilize in their reactor outputs came back within normal operational ranges.

GM CockRoach

“Commander. Both ships are showing stabilizing reactors.” Hill said across the bridge. ” There is still no sign of any ships other than the two we have at the moment.”

Hill, Sec

A soft sigh escaped her lips, that was good news. Perhaps they would have to evacuate anyone. “Understood, Ensign.” She paused, “It looks like we might be coming out of the woods.”
