Kriv was still getting used to the mixed inputs his new eye was giving him, which made him both curious and confused at the same time. His eye wanted to ‘read’ everything he passed and looked at, so there was a lot of information to process at once, but he was slowly getting used to it.

As he entered Main Engineering, he let the familiar feelings come back and felt more like he was home, as he looked around the room.

OOC: Bajoran naming scheme in play here, Kriv is his first name.
Ens. Zemta Kriv, Engineer

Engineering was abuzz with activity from people monitoring the output of the core, to running daily diagnostics. Naturally as with the majority of engineering there were a few of the maintenance hatches open, most likely with someone checking inside. One of the NE’s that was carrying a few engineering kits back to an office was first to notice the individual since he was an unfamiliar face in Engineering. He passed by and set down the kits against a wall nearby before coming back over. “Hey good afternoon, I’m Dawson .. haven’t seen you in Engineering before .. anything I can help with?”

NE Dawson

Kriv nodded, “I was looking for the chief engineer. I’m the newest Engineering officer here and I was told to report to him.”

“Ah I think the Chief might be in his office ..? I was just bringing these kits to check back in. If you want to grab two, I can grab the other two and we can head over there?” The NE walked back over to the boxes of tools that he had set down previously and grabbed two of the four that he had previously set down. “The office is just around the corner behind the main console.” He took a few steps in that direction before turning around to make sure that he was being followed.

NE Dawson

Nice way to forcibly volunteer me. Noted Kriv thought, grabbing the other two kits and following.

OOC: Sorry for the slow posts, this week has been super busy for me lol

IC:
NE Dawson rounded the corner and pressed the chime waiting for the Chief to respond. A somewhat upbeat voice from within beckoned them, “Come on in!” NE Dawson looked back at the Ensign in tail and tilted his neck for him to follow inside. He walked in and headed towards the wall on the left where several other similar looking boxes were stacked and some were laid out with their contents on display. Spanners and other misc tools were out in front of several of the boxes in the same fashion for each, most likely indicating that an inventory was going on. “Got the last four boxes for ya here sir, along with someone new?”

Chris turned and nodded before scanning the several PADDs he had out on his desk before finding the one he needed on the very corner. “Ah excellent .. those should be .... 1044-1048.. Set them in front of the others for now, the two on the right you can take back.” Chris pointed towards the wall on their right were two cases had been set to the side neatly. “Aye sir.” Dawson acknowledged and grabbed the two kits before heading out of the office. “As for you .. please feel free to have a seat.” He extended an arm to the empty chair on the left since the one on the right had another Engineering Kit in it. His desk was littered with several PADDs with various information and lists. Some of the consoles on the back wall had statistical data up from the Ark Angel along with a program simulation that seemed to involve a shielding system of sorts. “Sorry if Dawson dragged you into anything .. he’s got a habit of pulling anyone to help out anything that he might be doing.” He slid a few PADDs around before grabbing one that was somewhere in the middle of his desk. Ensign Kriv, I believe? Welcome to the Ark Angel!” He extended his arms out with the PADD in his left and looked around his office a bit indicating the ship as a whole and followed up with a back to back question, “What do ya think of her? Can I also get you a drink of anything by the way ..?” He headed over to the nearby replicator between two of the consoles.

Kriv bit back a snarky comment about his name–he decided he’d cross that bridge later. He took a seat, looking curiously at the simulation on the back wall. “She’s nice.” He said, letting his eyes flick from the readouts to the simulation and back. “No thank you, I’m fine.”

“Computer, one glass of water.” He turned back towards his visitor “You sure ..? It’s really no trouble. I’m sure it must have been a long trip getting all the way out here to the ship. Anything interesting happen along the way or was it rather .. normal?” His eyes hinted some curiosity as the glass of water appeared with the typical hum of the replicator.
