“Well, that is going to be difficult,” Simon said with a smile, looking down at his security uniform. “I’m probably going to be spending most of my time in Security considering my posting, but thanks for the heads up,” he added as his requested meal arrives in front of him. “So, what sort of things do the crew do to socialize?” He asked as he began to eat his pasta.

“There are all sorts of activities on the ship from the standard things. holodecks, gymnasium, and other leisure activities. Including movie nights and specialized entertaining parties like Hawaiian night or casino night in Monte Carlo or Las Vegas?” Trax said with a smile. “plus normal birthday parties and other special occasions.”

“Sounds like plenty to do, I’ll definitely need to look at those on my off hours, thanks for the advice. I was never much of a gambler myself, not in the casino’s anyway - I was always too busy on the farm” Simon replies. “Though of course special occasions are always good to meet.”
Simon was happy there was plenty to do off duty and it sounded like the crew was as close as he had hoped. He was looking forward to starting his shift. “Well, ” he began as he finished his food. “I only have a little bit of time before my first shift. And I don’t want to be late on my first day on the job,” he said with a smile “I should take my leave,” Simon stood and offered a hand one more time, “Was a pleasure to meet and talk, Trax - and I’m sure you’ll probably see me in Sickbay before too long, but let’s hope that is only for my next physical evaluation,” he joked and after saying his farewells, headed back to his quarters to get ready for his first shift.
