As time went on the sensors cleared and Phillips would find it was just a rogue comet he had picked up. Nodding to the report then Drudoc said, “..Very well mark it for later study and continue on course..” She said.
The Ark Angel meanwhile continued on past it though it was marked for later survey.
Finally nearing the system they were set to arrive at. “..Helm slow us to impulse. Science and tactical full scans of the system. Lets proceed in to the third planet for our targeted survey..” She said.

Kara quickly slid across to the sensor readouts and started running the usual battery of scans on the area, beginning with a standard short range scan of the surrounding area.

“I’ll have a Class 3 probe on standby, Captain.” The Operations Chief called out from the back of the Bridge. Tenzing cleared his throat and brought the probe into the ready position. It was now that Tenzing began to feel a certain emotion he hadn’t felt in a long time. He was aware that the Beta Quadrant was nothing like the Andromeda Galaxy, and this crew was not full of 3rd and 4th year Cadets. Yet, a small part of him felt a bit of fear creeping up his neck since both places were a great distance from home.

Operations Chief”..Launch the probe Lieutenant Commander lets see what else is about. Anything showing up on general scans?” She asked.
“Launching probe now, Captain.” Tenzing called out. Moments later the probe would be seen shooting out towards the planet. “Lieutenant Philips, you should be getting the scans momentarily.” Lieutenant Commander Trainor said to his Junior Officer.

Ops ChiefScans would show the class M world they were orbiting held some ruins! Quite old seeming ones at that, but also interesting being picked up was a civilian vulcan survey ship in low orbit in low power mode. Registry of it in the data banks gave the name VSD Ta’pa registered to the civilian vulcan scientist of the vulcan science directorate Sural. One life sign, Vulcan, was picked up on the planet’s surface below.

“I’ve been running scans on the life form.” Philips said. “He is a well known scientist from Vulcan.”

Simon nodded confirming the lifesign also on the tactical computers. He also continued scanning for other ships nearby. “There’s also a vulcan ship in low orbit, the VSD Ta’pa. Power low, registered to the scientist,” Simon added, looking at the tactical display.
