Standing outside the counseling office, Domingo tugs his uniform tunic straight before reaching forward and hitting the chime button.

Katie looked up in surprise at the door chime and then shook her head at herself. The door had been chiming every hour it seemed, so she didn’t know why it surprised her this time. The Ark Angel had been without a counselor for some time and the amount of backlog made that quite apparent.
“Come in!” she called, tossing the PaDD she had been looking at onto an annoyingly disorganized pile on her desk. As the door slid open, she prepared herself for yet another check in. She so prepared herself, in fact, that it took her several seconds to process who was on the other side of the door. A smile slowly came over her face as she recognized the other person and she bounded around her desk to wrap her arms around him as soon as the door had slid safely shut behind him.
“Well, I know you’re not here for an evaluation since that got taken care of at the starbase by someone impartial,” she murmured, her voice barely audible from her mouth’s position burrowed in Chavez’s neck. “I’m so happy to see you,” she added after a moment, releasing him and taking a step back.
