Drudoc entered the briefing room again with Starr and Trainor in tow. They had barely been there two minutes when the chime for the door rang. Turning Drudoc said. =/\= Enter! =/\=

Moments later the doors opened to the briefing room as they entered. “Captain this is Lt commander Traleen!” As Trax introduced him to the captain. “Do you wish me to say, sir?” Trax asked before they started there conversation. He was not sure why he was he escort for this man but he knew the captain had her reasons. As he waited quietly for her response.

Lt Jg Trax Suder - CMO

Traleen was a stocky man, standing at 5‘11, with sandy brown hair, blue eyes, and though treated by medical still had a few bruise markings here and there with his uniform cut up or ripped in spots along the shirt.

”..No Lieutenant, you can return to sickbay, and continue to monitor the Browns Town crew for any other issues. If there’s not then your time is your own..” Drudoc said.

Once Trax had left, Drudoc gestured for all of them to take a seat. “..Let’s sit down, can I get you something to drink or eat Commander?” Drudoc asked first off.

Simon walked over to the replicator, getting himself a water. As Drudoc made the offer to Lieutenant Commander Traleen, he waited there to see if he wanted anything. He was already by the replicator when the captain asked, so waited for Traleen’s response. He was following the captain’s lead on this one. He hadn’t had to deal with temporal issues before during his time in Security, but had the necessary training.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

Trax was confused by the captain’s response to him He was a Lieutenant Junior Grade, not an ensign. He would have to talk to the captain later to see if there was a change he was not aware of. As he took a look a glance around the bridge briefly taking in the area quietly then moved to the lift as he entered the lift and returned to the main sickbay.

OOC: Sorry Dave >.> That was my mistake ooc you can just run and ignore the ensign remark unless you really want to later on RP it out up to you either way.

Traleen looked between the trio, then took a seat. “..A glass of water would be fine, and maybe a chocolate bar or something. Survival rations arent the best even for only a day.” He remarked.

Drudoc nodded wryly, then to Starr to get the offered glass and chocolate bar. Once Traleen had it from Starr he took a long sip and a healthy bite of the chocolate bar. Given the look on his face he clearly had some surprise given the advanced replication effect the replicator nearby produced. Though for the moment he seemed to brush it off.

Simon ordered the water and chocolate bar from the replicator, and moved over to take his seat at the table when he had given Traleen his food and drink.

Drudoc then waited till Starr and Trainor took their own seats indicating each of them. “..This is Lieutenant Starr, my executive officer and my chief of operations Lt Commander Trainor. I am the Ark Angel’s commanding officer Drudoc Andone..” She said by way of introductions.

Simon offered a hand to shake to Traleen as the captain introduced him “a pleasure, commander,” he said with a friendly tone.

”..Pleased to meet you three. I take it though things arent all on the up and up for what remains of the Browns Town crew hmm?” he said bluntly clearly getting to the point.

Drudoc furrowed her brow at the cultural reference a moment. “..Ah up and up, something being off from what you expect. Yes I suppose that puts a good point on our current situation..” She replied.

”..Before the crash our science officer, Lt Bens thought our star alignment was situating us somewhere in the Beta Quadrant, but then his console exploded and sent him tumbling so we never did get much of a chance to figure out where we were. So maybe we can start there?” Traleen asked.

Drudoc nodded, “..You and your ship wound up far beyond the borders of the Federation deep in the heart of unexplored space of the Beta Quadrant. My ship and crew have been out here for almost half a year exploring various unclaimed systems and doing survey work. We were not too far away when we picked up your distress beacon..” She said.

Traleen hmmm, taking this in, taking another sip of his water and another savoring bite of the chocolate bar. He seemed in thought for now on how to proceed next. Drudoc did not wait too long though, “..Commander, perhaps you could start an explanation of how you wound up out here?..” She said leaving out the fact they already had a working theory for now.

Swallowing the chocolate bite, he took another sip before replying. “..Pretty straight forward stuff really. The Browns Town had been picked to test a warp field and formula improvement refinement by the Starfleet Corp Of Engineers. We spent about two days in dry dock around Earth getting some refits done for the experiment. The idea was the field and formulas would improve efficency of warp travel and speeds by almost 25%. I love.....loved the Browns Town engines, Captain..” he said trailing off in a manner only an engineer could understand. A look Drudoc seemed to reflect in her own flash of memories.

”..I can understand more then you might imagine, Commander. Go on..” Drudoc prompted.

”…Sadly I didn’t get a chance to fully look into the changes the Corp of Engineers was putting into our engines before we left dry dock. What little I was able to see seemed......odd to me. The gravitational harmonics for example seemed much higher then they needed to be, and the matter/anti-matter stream ratios were frankly far beyond what I thought could be tolerated by our warp coils. Sadly by the time I had looked at this much we were already leaving the Sol system passing Pluto when the Captain ordered us to warp. At first everything was fine, we got up to warp 7.3 before I registered a power spike in the port nacelle, but before I could call for a shut down the ship’s field went haywire! Next thing I know we’re all being tossed about like a bag of jacks and balls. Somehow I was able to hit the shutdown sequence on the bridge’s engineering station. But instead of getting out of warp helm reported our speed was increasing passing well over Warp 11!..” He said.

OOC: Note this is warp 11 by TOS standards for TNG it’d be equal to something around warp 8.5. I’ll halt here to let you guys chime in.

GM CockRoach / Drudoc Andone CO

“Could the unusual specifications you were given explain how that managed to happen, Commander?” Simon asked Traleen. He wondered how a ship traveling at the equivelant speed as recorded could end up causing the ship to jump forward over 100 years into the future, if that was what happened. The fact that Traleen was a member of the original crew seemed to support that theory, as he would be dead by human standards by now if those years passed naturally, at least in Simon’s experience - humans didn’t live higher than 100, if they reached that age. He looked over Commander Traleen’s file once more to view his entire service record while waiting for a response.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

“What was Starfleet trying to accomplish?” Trainor thought to himself as he heard the exchange between Traleen and the exec team. Tenzing wasn’t able to gauge whether or not the Commander was hiding anything about the incident.

While his expertise wasn’t Engineering but rather the software of a starship, the Operations Chief could only hypothesize that someone was trying to fling that ship at a faster rate that it could handle.

“I’m surprised the ship didn’t break up.” Lieutenant Commander Trainor added.
