[snip]Once a probe got launched it was quick to confirm there were currently no signs of any temporal anomaly. But what it did find were two things, one was not far from their current location drifting lazily was a piece of the Browns Town port nacelle pylon complete with the entire port nacelle! It would be an easy enough matter to move the ship a little bit from orbit to tractor it for later study if such came up by the Captain. The second thing was the probe found signs of a gravitational eddy, consistent with possibly a now collapsed wormhole at the system’s edge. It came up as an exact match for where the Browns Town had likely emerged at the system’s edge and then gotten flung in system to its crashing point.

As the results of the probe came in, Lt. Frogue looked over and thought, ‘It appears that there is no signs of temporal anomalies but it also appears that part of the Brown Town’s port nacelle pylon is intact; we should recover it.’ Looking over at tactical Frogue said, “NE Ensign try and get a lock on that nacelle and bring it into the bay.”

NE Ensign nodded, “..Right away sir, we’ll have just enough room to tractor it into shuttlebay 4 I think..” He said.
A moment later he added, “..Yep, just barely fit! Should I alert the Captain of our find?” he asked.

“Yes, notify the Captain of what we have been able to recover” responded Frogue.

NE Ensign was bout to reply when the doors to the ready room opened again, and out came the CO. “..Recover what Lieutenant Frogue?” Drudoc asked taking the center chair again. “..Anything more to report?” she added.

Simon stepped out of the briefing room just behind the captain, taking a seat in the XO chair, listening to what the scientist discovered as the captain asked him what they found.

Tenzing had nearly forgotten how small the ships were of that time period, when he heard the nacelle was going to be stored in their shuttlebay. “I’ll begin clearing the bay so it can be brought aboard.” The Operations Chief announced as he sent word to Shuttlebay 4.
