[snip]”..I’m sure its in the system..” Drudoc said turning to the replicator and a moment later a small warm glass came into view which Drudoc presented to Mizuki. Drudoc then returned to the replicator again and ordered herself a chilled glass of a strong minty and honey scented tea which she then sat in her chair. “..Now then what seems to have you looking so down, Lieutenant?” Drudoc inquired.

she took a drink of the warm milk then spoke”Its a number of things…it was so completely pathetic of me how I acted on the Bridge when we were boarded by those pirates…and then repairing the warp drive…I tried to rally my team and be like the greats Tucker, Scott, LeForge, O’Brian, Torres and even you! my team and I should have finished that repair even faster and proven ourselves to be Miracle workers!” she said “I just feel like despite everything I have done so far to improve my Engineering knowledge and skills I am no closer to my goal than when I first visited the USS Apache as a Kitten” she said softly

”..Let’s break down your concerns one by one, Lieutenant. I believe I am right if we do so you’ll find much clarity as a result..” Drudoc began sipping her drink a moment.
”..First off with how you acted on the bridge when we were boarded. While it may not have been....’heroic’ in the sense that a non-combatant or observer might expect. You can not help when faced with a traumatic fear but to react as your body wills. There was no true harm done at the time, as a result of those reactions so all I can suggest to you is seek treatment and counseling for the fear..” She continued, “..Now that said, fear is......a curious reaction and emotion. You can let it either control you all the time, or you can allow it to be channeled into productive passions and reactions when such a threat comes about. Growing above it as it were. I won’t deny it takes time. The elements know my own journey to conquer my deepest fears is......ever one that is ongoing.” She said looking distant a second before refocusing. “..But the point is that I do not let the fear control me. I control it, and I make sure it is well aware of that fact in my day to day life..” She explained with a soft smile.
“I will look into that captain…I wanted to be on Starship postings because I thought it would be the best way to avoid my fearrr of Insects…” she said softly before taking another drink of the milk which had a green tint to its color, was almost as thick as an earth Milkshake and smelled like wildflowers “but Yes I will make an appointment with Lieutenant Freeman as soon as I go off duty today” she added
”..Now onto the second issue, rallying your team and striving to ‘be like the greats’. I’m not sure why you feel you failed in this task to ‘rally your team’? You did as was tasked and did so in an efficient yet properly sustained time period. Even under different circumstances of pressure you could not have replaced the part stolen, properly and safely installed it, configured it for use, etc in any time period shorter then what you did. Were you to do so and rush past checks and balances you could have only resulted in further damage, or even loss of life. Cutting corners, even in a crisis is never an excuse to risk your life, the lives of your staff, and obviously this ship and her crew.” She said. Pausing to sip her drink cooly, “..Now onto the other matter of rallying your team, to ‘be like the greats’. Ever engineer regardless of their origins of being in the Federation, the Klingon Empire, the Star Empire or .....any other powers of influence. Has their ‘hero figures’ that folks look up to, that folks wanna be like. It may surprise you to learn that the Star Empire has quite a few such figures in their own right over our long history just like in Starfleet. But consider this for a moment, do you think they were naturally born with such skill? That it just....came to them at their birth?” Drudoc said, pausing to look to Miz’uki for a simple yes or no reply.

“No, I guess your right captain” she purred “I was reading everything I could about Commander Charles Tucker…from the NX-01 and He really struggled to Dial in that Warp Five engine that made his Enterprise what she was and get it working properly,” she said clearly calmed down and feeling a little better
