Did androids possess feelings? Could they be hurt or insulted? Did they cultivate dreams and wishes, grand ambitions? Or were they merely synthetic processors of data. Walking and talking in/out terminals masquerading as sentient? Eve did not know the answers to these questions. But data gathered from her previous starship assignments indicated that she greatly valued any time spent in conversation with the ship’s counsellor.

And so, it was for that reason that Eve chose to present herself at the office of Lieutenant Guy Freeman, looking not for a psychological assessment but merely a…chat.

Guy didn’t even knew aboard the ship there was an android. Or maybe he was aware of it, but suddenly forgot about its existence in the whole ship like the things he didn’t cared too much or the letters that his old-flame were sent to him periodically, which as he knew already from the Ark Angel, those were just to apologize about the things of the past but that Guy couldn’t accept at all.
And so when Eve entered, he looked at that… thing? Human? Android, synth? Whatever it was made Guy’s head tilt a bit as he was reading the books about Aristotele and his philosophy and also to chuckle as he deducted something was not human in “her”.
“Interesting…” he turned around the sofa taking his PaDD and standing up as he walked with his cold eyes fixed at the little letters of the LCARS UI toward toward Ms. Eve.
“Eve? Just Eve? Alright.” He confirmed his thought. “So, what are you up for, here? Ms. Eve. We had no appointment booked if I am correct.” He stopped with his proudness and feet 20 cm apart from her.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

“You are correct, Sir, that I have not made an appointment,” the android replied, her synthetic voice adopting an almost contrite tone. “I checked your schedule and saw that you had no other obligations. However, if I have arrived at an inconvenient time then I can return later?”

As she waited for the Counselor’s response, Eve began to study the man’s office. It always fascinated her, the myriad configurations that humanoids could discover to arrange and decorate what was standard, isotropic furnishings and fixtures.

“I was…hoping…that we might engage in social discourse, if you have the time, Sir?” she qualified after a moment.
