“Captain, I’m not saying we shouldn’t go after our crew!” The Operations Chief exclaimed. “But we need to exhaust all avenues of diplomacy first!”

Trainor COO

”..I agree Commander an outright fight isnt in our best interest nor capability right now. We need to level the playing field somehow..” she said.

“Captain, the safety of our crew is the most important thing. I still think the best thing to do is send in two teams. They could go in quietly. Find our people and pull them out as quiet as we can” suggested Frogue.

Frogue

”..And how do you propose that Lieutenant Frogue?” She asked.

“I didn’t know noise–or the lack thereof–could mask us from sensors.” Arthur said, gruffly. “The way I see it, we have two, maybe three, options. The first is to just go in. This has the benefits of letting us rescue our crewmates, but could–and most likely will–trigger conflicts with the Bolay. Our second option, could also backfire, but might be our best option; that is to present our data to the Bolay. However, they could think we’ve made up data to get access. Our third option, which I highly recommend against, is anything involving valuable cargo. This could trigger the Orions to attack us, which none of us want, I’m sure.”

He waited a few moments before continuing, “ideally, the option we go with should be the one that results in the least amount of violence.” The fact that Arthur wasn’t wanting a fight would surprise those who truly knew him.

Arthur Jones, Son of Ruk.

“Or allow the Bolay to escort us to one of the systems…” Lieutenant Commander Trainor suggested. “That way they’ll see for themselves and we might make an ally for cleaning up the Orions.” The Operations Chief was still all for the diplomatic route, and he wasn’t sure they’d be able to continue unless they involved the Bolay in some capacity.

Trainor

”..We still need a contact point for the Bolay, just waltzing up to the neutral zone border isnt going to engender faith in our comm call..” She said.

Drudoc Andone CO

“We can always lure the Syndicate into Bolay territory, and offer our assistance to the Bolay in fighting them off.” Lieutenant Commander Trainor responded. “Unfortunately, my days as a cultural specialist were short-lived and if we had the time I’d be able to study the Bolay some, but time isn’t something we have.” He added. Tenzing thought for a moment.

“What exactly caused the tension between the Bolay and Federation?” Tenzing asked.

Pressing a log button she pulled up a familar image of the USS Merrimack, a Marine class cruiser of the late-early 23rd-24th century. “..Back in 2301 The USS Merrimack ran into the Bolay cruiser Ocean’s Bluff. Their Vulcan chief science officer at the time after repeated words not to insight the evidence of them being related to Terran based bottlenose dolphins got the crew thrown off and since then conflict has been ever present through out the 24th century..” She said.

Trainor

“If our options were violent, this is just the same as I and my colleagues thought. Everything leads to violence! Instead of avoiding it, couldn’t we just make an exception?” Asked the Counselor as he stood up and leant forward his face “We are just wasting time while our Officers might be already dead. I know Starfleet is peace and stuff but who cares now about diplomacy? They took from us two starfleet citizens! It is like a battle declaration.” Cleared his voice and sat down afterwards. “Captain, I do not mean to mess around and to pay no respect to you and to my friends here, but if we don’t act immediately we might just fail to recover those officers.” The loss of valuable crew members was known to Guy. On the Red Baron, many perished and he was one of the few survivors. As he remembered that event, he imperceptibly found himself in the clothes of a younger Guy. That day, he was everything but a hero. A powerless and coward person.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

”..Lieutenant Freeman, I actually agree with you. But at present our hands seem tied. A direct engagement is out of the question. Starfleet nor us has the means to currently dislodge the Orions at either base site in either system. Other approach could insight a war with the Bolay by approaching these systems which are closely watched by the Bolay Military District. How they havent seen or detected the Orions remains a mystery. Our only option seems a stealthy one but a simple shuttle or two could be too easily overwhelmed..” She said then turned to Miz’uki and Trainor. “..It leave me with only....one somewhat unconventional option given the status of things..”

”..Lieutenant, and Commander. How would you both rate your skills on cloak integration?” She said then with a stone faced look.

Drudoc Andone CO

“For a ship this size, a cloak integration could take some time Captain,” Tenzing said, now understanding the direction Captain Andone was going in. ” I remember my brother, Ryan, going on about the ENINTADI Al system which has the capability of disguising a starship as an.... asteroid, or whatever.” The Operations Chief announced.

“It’s currently being used on the Memorial and Brazen Class starships, as far as I know.”
