Thankful too Guy for trying another topic which Kala knew he wouldn’t have found easy she smiled back at him, “Well! I received the seeds as a parting gift from a Tellerite scientist I was an understudy too during my stay at the Daystrum institute. He told me not to plant them until I got my first assignment and so as of my first day I planted them in a little seeder in science lab two and they’re almost ready, it doesn’t even have a name so that should be interesting.” Kala continued to explain excitedly to Guy until the reached the entrance to the lab “Ready?”

Guy took the words and put them inside his mind. Plant, gift, Tellerite. Tellerite? Never saw one since the Uni on Earth. He was once friend of Guy during that period and maybe now he was already a doctor somewhere in the Milky Way Galaxy. Instead he was stuck there, with no chance of changing job or division. Since Starfleet obliged Guy into Counseling, his life was broken into thousand pieces and for the consequences, the optimistic Freeman of 5 years ago was already to lose hope of finding some sort of good job if he would have left Starfleet. Then Kala said “Ready?” And his thoughts broke apart, taking him again into reality “Uhm. I need to be prepared? Yes, I need. Silly me.” He was confused at first “Alright. Yes I am ready, whatever it is… it is not a killing plant, right?” He looked forward the orange doors of the ship a bit wondering about threats he faced in the past.

OOC: for explanation, Guy could have may continued his studies of medicine in his Starfleet history while being a Biologist and Exobiologist in the science department but was to be confined into the science labs and occasionally on away missions because of his mother’s influence into Starfleet command decision. When Guy was hurt in the Red Baron incident, they permanently changed his position (of course again influenced by the family) to Counseling which was not what he wanted at all. With no choice of changing department, he could have left Starfleet, but decided that it was not worth it for the time being of having left attempting finishing his medical degree. Which caused lots of mental issues to Guy and lead to an attempt to kill himself prior to the Ark Angel. Hope it clears a bit of his history :D

Giggling at his words, “No silly, I just wanted to make sure you were ready… You seemed a little lost in your own head” Kala said before opening the door and walking in hoping Guy would still follow. Across from them and planted in a large seeder which rested at floor level were four separate plants spaced about a meter apart taking up most of the room. They didn’t look like anything special with one single stem and a drooping leaf in the shape of a heart. “Tada,” She said standing next to the hands on her hips.”

Guy entered carefully into the room, expecting something big or weird. Well what he saw was kinda a normal plant, but as he knew it maybe would have been just the cover of the book and was more hopeful to learn something more about that plant.
“Interesting…” he started walking around the plants to scrutinize tiny details “So I would probably say they seem nothing out the normality. But there’s something about this plants that is pretty much a needle in a hay bale that I am missing, I bet.” He asked curious and fascinated as ex-exobiologist and ex-medicine student. Kala was a surprising woman, and certainly the plant would have been surprising as her.

“Yep you’re right!” She said with a huge grin before moving to the plant on the right which was closest to them. “This plant goes through an insane state of metamorphosis when it comes into contact with a humanoid life form, I’m certain its to do with the electromagnetic field we produce and creates some sort of temporary bond, now.” She said bending down one arm resting on her bent knees and carefullyreached out and touched the leaf “This is why this plant is awesome” As she did the leaf curled back and Kala quickly posed moments later the plant began to grow, weaving out a humanoid-like form in the same pose Kala had quickly taken with her arms crossed facing Guy and an excited Kala. “Notice how the flowers are a beautiful purple, it detects your mood and emotions too so you know its kinda like those little fish toys you get in Christmas crackers Humans love so much, want to try?”

Guy looked pretty much amazed by the unusual plant. As he looked more closely, details were amazingly intriguing and the face of the Counselor was kinda new and old at the same time, as Kala did not knew that about the funny face that the Counselor made when new things were discovered.
“Oh that’s…” he stopped on the edge of saying something odd by him “That’s cute. I need to say it surprised me.” He made again his serious face once again.

Witnessing the effect when Kala touched the plant, made him think it was some sort of magic. Of course he knew it wasn’t and some sort of explanation was behind the happening.
“So you’re saying that this plants can detect your mood uh?” He questioned the younger Ensign “and it expresses your mood by changing colors to the flower petals? Of course I want to try! I am still a medic and biologist in my deepest.” He raised both of his arms and making again a silly face.
