Seeing Guy finding it hand she slowly put her hand in his and squeezed reassuringly “It’s not going to kill us” She said to drive home her good intent, she really did want to see what’s ould happen but she also wanted Guy to feel comfortable so she bent over and touched the final plant. Unlike before she just stood up still holding guys hand it was rigid and muscular in her own smaller soft hands.

Touching Kala’s hand made the entire body of Guy warm up. He didn’t talked, nor tried to look how was Kala positioned. He was still like a statue, in the middle of room with the younger Ensign, wondering what was going to happen.

Just like before however, the plant’s leaf curled and it began to grow, this time not into just one shape but two humanoid shapes standing side by side holding hands, their own original colors more distinct but as the flowers began to bloom down their arms towards the joined hands the colors swirled together to create one beautiful flower where the yellow consumed the center surrounded by the deep purple. Then as if things couldn’t get more amazing where both their hearts would be the flower turned the opposite, Kalas was now yellow and Guys now purple. “Amazing” She breathed softly. “I’m going to call it liberum crescente flore, Freemans Growing Bloom

The effect that the flowers gave swirled Guy’s eyes. He was amazed how the blooms changed over time and switched position. The merge of the two, By the way, was the most relevant and interesting fact for the helpless soul of the Lieutenant that kept his hand comfortably in Kala’s, dragging her to look closely.
“You are doing it by purpose uh?” He asked Kala as she christened the plant “I guess it is a good name. But not because there’s my last name in it.” He eyes the Ensign smiling.
What a feeling he felt at that time. He was now more eased and didn’t really realized that his smile was purely filled with truth of loving the experience and the company of someone in the same room.

“Especially awesome because it’s your name and also because I am the one who thought it up,” Kala said teasingly still looking at the now three different plants in front of them now closer thanks to Guy who had moved her closer. Closer in fact that they were almost shoulder to shoulder and the closest she had noticed he would allow anyone to be with him. She looked to him searching his face for any sign of emotion and was pleased to see a smile there.

‘If I could only…’ he thought ‘No, it would not be appropriate, she is not her.’
His face remained still with the same expression for a bit, while he passed his fingers on the divine colored flowers. But after the initial thrilling, Guy returned to act like nothing have happened and crouched on his knees. All those things happening right there, were recalling some memories of an old bittersweet moment of his when he could actually show his love to a person.
“I’m sorry Kala,” he apologized as he looked the floor “it is just that I forgot how to be happy. Or maybe I lost everything a second time when I lost a dear person.”

Crouching down and folding her legs underneath her she sat back “It’s ok I didn’t mean to bring back any old memories I just thought you’d like to see it” She said before reaching out and tilting his head away from the floor and back to her softly. “Don’t apologies for how you feel, you can’t help that” She said smiling at him before dropping her hand again, not wanting to make him feel any more uncomfortable with the touch of her hand. “We can go now if you’d like? I’m finished here and need some sleep” Now Kala had sat on the floor she could feel the ache in her legs and the tiredness behind her eyes.

“No need to say sorry.” Guy admitted and cleared a tear almost falling down “Yeah let’s go, it was a pretty tiring day today.” And so he stood up and helped Kala to get upright taking both of her hands with his, pulling the weight of the woman backwards his back. A she stood up, Guy looked straight for a last time for that day into her charming eyes, and locked on them he said “Thank you.” A bit shyly.

“You’re welcome” Kala replied smiling evermore. “Lets get going.” She added stepping back and taking one last look at the plants which by tomorrow would have reverted back to their normal state of simplicity.

Once he cleaned his uniform and put the commbadge on its original position as it was turned slightly on the right, Guy opened the door and invited Kala to go first.
On the way for the quarters, the nearest turbolift was two or three sections away. Between the transition from lab to turbolift, Guy remained silent looking forward and never on the sides or back to search the Ensign. Then in front of the shaft doors, he stopped and called the elevator - regretting to have said nothing while walking, the Counselor made a weird sight and said “Well I guess this is the end of today…” he paused thinking for the right words to say “And I guess it was fun. I had fun. Yeah… Soo, it is ok if we do stuff like this time to time? I hope I did not made anything weird or confusing.” He asked Kala rolling his eyes and resting on the wall just before the doors opened.

Kala hadn’t minded the quiet it gave her time to think about their time together and she decided she wanted to spend more time with Guy, she already liked him and considered him a friend, her only friend so far in fact. As if reading her mind Guy had said the same thing… just in less simple words and in his cute confusing nervous way. “We can do stuff like this whenever you want, you know where to find me and I know where to find you!”

“Ahahah…” he nervously giggled “I’m not going to be the same after this evening…” he whispered stepping inside the elevator “But I guess I can’t help it…?”
Below his chest, a feeling of being in touch as friends with the Science Officer made the entire environment feel like hell.

Stepping into the elevator she knew her quarters were closest so requested hers first before addressing his final statement. “You’re not weird Guy your unique and n amazing person so don’t let anyone tell you differently.” She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek as the door opened to her corridor. “Goodnight Guy, I had fun, and getting to know you is a privilege.” She stepped back out of the elevator and waved.

Guy opened slightly his mouth like amazed by the kiss and the gentle spirit of Kala. He could not move, nor reply as he was too ‘occupied’ processing what just happened, which made him seem like a frozen ice sculpture. But even the spell of a just born friendship, in the end stopped fading slowly and he waved back, nodding to her while stepping down the aisle.
As the doors closed and the lift started again going for its way, Guy ordered it to stop and he looked at his hands
“What the hell it’s happening to me…” Nothing?
But his blushing red face said otherwise since he received the kiss “Computer… Senior Officer quarters.”
From now on, he would have been really a different… “guy”.
