With the shuttle secured, an NE security team lead by NLtjg Colly came in with an engineering team lead hopefully by Ltjg Mazhari Allendor. The security team fanned out professionally but dutifully about the bay covering the shuttle though didnt yet draw weapons on it. They were on edge and cautious naturally given the report but weren’t hostile.

As the shuttle touched down, Codem held up a hand for nobody to move. “Remember, the Montezuma was attacked. S’Dan, if you aren’t comfortable with staying with that whole story, you know the issues it’s facing better than any of us here, keep using those if you need to.”

Scans on the bridge showed no sign of an enemy ship anywhere within range, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t there. Some races had very sophisticated cloaking technology that could render them virtually undetectable by sensors and scanners.

Miz’uki had been in the shuttle bay already going over the list of the Auxiliary craft and planning out the maintenance schedule She moved over and began scanning the guest shuttle knowing some of her team would not be far behind she began to plan out what they would need to get this thing flying again

Simon also entered the shuttle bay a few minutes after the call was received that they were to be receiving guests. He took a quick glance over the shuttle and noted that the Engineering team had already started getting to work. All that was left to do now was welcome the Ark Angel’s guests, and look for a needle in a haystack.

OOC: Posting in the split!

As V’Lath stood there watching the shuttle, he noticed a catlike figure studying the shuttle. Not entirely sure if he should say something or not he decided to err on the side of caution. In what he thought of as an authoritative voice, he uttered “Please step away from the shuttle until the area is secure !”

The hatch slowly opened, as though something in it’s mechanisms was slightly damaged. Codem lead the group off, followed by Izzin and S’Dan, with Alera, then Peter bringing up the rear. Codem glanced around, his eyes settling first on Miz’uki, then on V’Lath. After a few moments, he approached Simon, the others not far behind.

“Please tell me, Commander, that you’re in charge?” He asked, a slight hint of desperation in his voice.

“Greetings, Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, Executive Officer of the USS Ark Angel. I wouldn’t use the words in charge,” Simon replied. “The captain should be along presently, however. In the meantime, I’ll have the Engineers look over your shuttle and see if we can get some repairs done,” he said giving an expectant glance over to Miz’uki.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

“Please, we’ll need to return it to our ship, if it’s still in one piece when we get there.” Codem said, as Izzin spoke up. “Speaking of our ship, we’d like to get going towards it soon, if possible.”

As security and the others had spread out around the bay, Mazi had remained close to the door as a ‘final stop’ in case things went sideways. This smacked oddly of something ‘not right’. In her mind, the Shift Commander had let them in too easily and the story didn’t sit well with her. Even with long distance scans they should have been able to pick up ‘something’, in her opinion. Shouldn’t they?

But she followed orders and hadn’t had a moment to speak to the Chief yet about her suspicions.

When the XO was busy with the new comers, she tapped the nearest security NE on the shoulder and murmured, “Keep your eye on the XO. Don’t let them get the best of him.” She didn’t like her suspicion, but she couldn’t help it. Antennae flattened back slightly in concern, she made her way to the Engineering Chief’s side. As she came up behind her, she spoke low so no one else would hear. “No one else finds it suspicious that a shuttle just appears from no where, there’s no scans of any other ship, or trail of damage that we saw before I came down and now they are just welcome in bay?” She was probably over reacting, but she had to speak her mind to someone.
