The hatch slowly opened, as though something in it’s mechanisms was slightly damaged. Codem lead the group off, followed by Izzin and S’Dan, with Alera, then Peter bringing up the rear. Codem glanced around, his eyes settling first on Miz’uki, then on V’Lath. After a few moments, he approached Simon, the others not far behind.

“Please tell me, Commander, that you’re in charge?” He asked, a slight hint of desperation in his voice.

“Greetings, Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, Executive Officer of the USS Ark Angel. I wouldn’t use the words in charge,” Simon replied. “The captain should be along presently, however. In the meantime, I’ll have the Engineers look over your shuttle and see if we can get some repairs done,” he said giving an expectant glance over to Miz’uki.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

“Please, we’ll need to return it to our ship, if it’s still in one piece when we get there.” Codem said, as Izzin spoke up. “Speaking of our ship, we’d like to get going towards it soon, if possible.”

As security and the others had spread out around the bay, Mazi had remained close to the door as a ‘final stop’ in case things went sideways. This smacked oddly of something ‘not right’. In her mind, the Shift Commander had let them in too easily and the story didn’t sit well with her. Even with long distance scans they should have been able to pick up ‘something’, in her opinion. Shouldn’t they?

But she followed orders and hadn’t had a moment to speak to the Chief yet about her suspicions.

When the XO was busy with the new comers, she tapped the nearest security NE on the shoulder and murmured, “Keep your eye on the XO. Don’t let them get the best of him.” She didn’t like her suspicion, but she couldn’t help it. Antennae flattened back slightly in concern, she made her way to the Engineering Chief’s side. As she came up behind her, she spoke low so no one else would hear. “No one else finds it suspicious that a shuttle just appears from no where, there’s no scans of any other ship, or trail of damage that we saw before I came down and now they are just welcome in bay?” She was probably over reacting, but she had to speak her mind to someone.

As the Engineer was muttering to herself by the doors, they opened, and a pudgy, older looking man stepped up next to her in time to catch her comments. “I find it very suspicious lieutenant.” The man said with a smirk, “But all mysteries have an answer, and we’ll find this one’s.” He continued walking toward the shuttle. He noticed the XO and the group of strangers. He walked up to the group and stood behind the XO, saying nothing, but simply inserting his presence into the situation. There would be no funny business while he was around.

Simon listened as Codem explained the situation. “And we will see what we can do to help,” he replied before tapping his commbadge. =/\=Lieutenant Commander Starr to Captain Drudoc. Our guests have safely landed in Shuttlebay 1.=/\=

=/\= Understood Commander, have them situated in guest quarters and then the senior rank officer escorted to the briefing room..=/\= Drudoc said

“The destination the ship goes is not for me to decide, however. So what say you I introduce you to our captain?” Starr asked Codem.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

“Of course, Commander.” Codem said. The rank on his collar denoted him as a Lieutenant, with everyone else in the group–apart from S’Dan, who was an Ensign–being junior lieutenants.

Codem looked at the others. “Get with one of these people, and get yourselves settled in, I’ll get back with you guys after my meeting with the Captain.”

“I’ll show you to your quarters on the way to the briefing room, Lieutenant,” Simon said, looking towards V’lath to make sure one was prepared. “We can wait until your prepared and then we can discuss what happened in more detail,” he replied, gesturing towards the door out of the shuttlebay.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

“Of course, Commander.” Codem said, with a slight smile. There was an allure to him, that seemed to draw people to him.

OOC: Just keeping this going for engineering and security folks.

NLt Gorm spoke up from the shuttle bay launch control room. “..Alright you engineering and security folks if you want to get scurrying over that shuttle to check it out now’s your time. Probably be good to eval any repairs or maintenance it needs as well as checking over its flight logs to confirm its story of an attack..” He said.

NLt Gorm

Miz’uki buried herself in finding out what was wrong with the shuttle however she also began to run scans to try and figure out who might have attacked them or more specifically what was the origin of the damage caused

Miz’uki

The damage to the shuttle was purely ionic in origin–almost as though the shuttle flew through–or near–some sort of ion storm. The logs were partially damaged, with some data–roughly matching that of what the survivors had said–still in tact. The shuttle was registered to the USS Montezuma, as Codem had claimed, but there was no named attached to the shuttle–nor any other form of identification on it.

GMT Capybara

Miz’uki made a mental note to herself to pass this info onto the Security chief right away both the shuttles lack of a name and the Ion energy signature Something was not adding up in her eyes

Miz’uki

A panel near the rear door to the shuttle sparked, and the door fell open with a very loud ‘CLANG’ against the deck.

GMT Capybara

She would of course fix the door but even still she moved towards the opening to take a look inside the shuttle and maybe poke around though she was very careful keeping her keen Caitian senses trained for any noise that might be an Ambush of somekind

Miz’uki

Much of the area surrounding the doorway looked pock-marked, almost as though it had been hit by some sort of pellet similar to those fired by 21st century BB guns.

It would be a few hours before they were going to get data from the probe, so Tenzing decided to make his way down to the shuttlebay to see if he could be of some help. “Miz’uki?!” Trainor called out as he approached the shuttle, not knowing the Lieutenant was now inside the shuttle.

Mazi jumped as the panel fell and came around to see what had happened. Like her Chief, she was cautious. Despite the location having no pressurization or atmosphere when in space, that didn’t mean ‘something’ wasn’t inside. “See anything, Chief?”

Just then a voice popped up on the far side near the bay doors. “Over here!” she called for the Engineer who was looking at the panel’s original location. Turning back to Miz’uki, Mazi shook her head. “There is no name on the shuttle anywhere. I’m going to use the tricorder to see if there is any trace of it being removed. Paint thickness differences, decal residue, etc.” As she started to step back, though waiting to see if she was still needed here, she frowned. Why was there no name on the shuttle? Not aware it also wasn’t in the data banks, she was only mildly concerned.
