Trax left down the corridor and headed back to his cabin for the night he did not waste any time as he undressed for bed. As he got into bed and covered up as he fell quickly asleep. He dreamt of empty dreams filled with smoke and swirls as the alarm woke him up. for a new day as he went to get a shower and shave to get ready for a new day of work. He did not want to be late. As he dried off quickly from an old-style shower instead of a sonic shower. As he quickly got dressed and moved on to the door and headed out to medical as he took his time so he would not get into an accident before duty. As he walked into medical again as a jr officer yet again. His rank showing the proof of his rank reduction and demotion.

As nurse Hulahan Stopped in shock of seeing the change in rank. “Good morning doctor…” She said stunned as the others got their notice of the change. “Good morning nurse Hulahan and staff. As you noticed there has been a change in command and rank. “I am fine Lets give our best foot forward to the new CMO when she arrives. Please no ill will to her it was not her fault or her choice. It was something that happened with the higher ups at command they seemed it was for the best to try to keep a good footing with betazed and the rest of the universe.” Trax said with a small smile as he put on his blue smock he felt a bit cool this morning. As he got signed in and started with his usual chores in the main sickbay then off to the back up sickbay to deal with duties there as he tried to stay busy and clear of the new cmo unless called to do visit her.

Nurse Hulahanknew well enough that this reduction of rank and demotion did hurt Trax a good bit he was rather fond of the his new job and title. “We will talk later!” Nurse Huahan said quickly to the doctor as she continued on with her duties. As the others briefly noted their disbelief about the situation. As they noted they will check in on him as time permitted. Trax quickly thanked them quietly before focusing in the ships lab to finish off his experiments and the like and got the room cleaned and completely serialized before the new CMO took over the lab and the room was clear of all old and out dated items.

As he finished off he moved his last of his experiments to a container and moved them to his quarters as he placed them on a tab;e by the door for later. as he turned and exited again as he did not stopas he moved to the backup sickbay to deal with other duties dealing with all the storage and restocking duties so the room was ready for any emergency. As he did this quietly as the others there noticed the change in rank as well. The kept quiet and let him to his duties.

Hayley stepped through the doors of the backup sickbay. As an Ensign she had spent most of her time in the main Sickbay so she wasn’t yet familiarized with this one. It was her intention to introduce herself to some of the staff and have a look around so she would know where things were kept and so she wouldn’t have to scramble if there was an emergency. As she made her way around the room she noticed that it seemed a lot quieter then usual.

Jr. Lt. Marshall, Doctor

Trax felt a presence enter the room. It was familiar but different at the same time. Trax sighed hard before speaking. He knew the time had come for him to face the new chief. As he came in from an adjacent room calmly. “Good Morning How can I help you?” Trax said with a half smile on his face. trying to be friendly to all that entered. As he made his way into the main part of the room.

“Good morning Dr. Suder, I was hoping to run into you.” Hayley had her ‘pleasantly professional’ face on when in fact she was feeling quite awkward about their sudden rank reversal. Despite that, it was obvious she was being completely sincere and not just making nice. “Everyone here, myself included, knows full well that you are the reason this medical department is where it is today. I can’t do anything about your change in rank but I can and will recognize your knowledge and experience. I am hoping you will consider acting as second in command of this medical department and as an advisor to me as well.”

Jr. Lt. Marshall CMO

Trax listened to what was said carefully without trying to be judgemental or rude to anyone this time is kinda hard for him still but he was trying to keep professional. “Good Morning Chief. Thank you for the kind words and there much appreciated. I know this role reversal and situation has done a lot to me and you as well. I will help out where I can Doctor.” Trax said sincerely to her. “I believe it hit everyone out of the left-field as you humans say. I know the staff are just as confused and lost to some degree. But I know they will follow your orders as they did mine and the past CMO before me.” Trax said with a small fleeing smile. “I am surprised your even here usually main sickbay was the CMO’s chosen domain. But I believe your trying to get a feel for the ship and all of her fun locales.” Trax said with a smile. “If you wish me to be an assistant or assistant chief Medical Officer to you that is of course your choice and your right as CMO. But you might want to run that by the captain to make sure that is ok by her.” Trax said calmly to her. As he felt quiet again as he felt out of sorts again.

Dinui walked in quietly, she paused a moment and then continued forward the small basket filled with muffins fresh from the lounge’s oven. She gave everyone a polite smile and took the muffins to a side table out of the main walk way. “Good morning, I brought breakfast or snacks as you might prefer.”

“Thank you, doctor!” Trax commented with a small smile. The muffins smell wonderful? What type of muffins do we have??” Trax asked with curiosity. As he did notice her arrival but he finished his thoughts before he forgot what he wished to say to the CMO.
