[snip]Moments later Trainor stepped onto the Bridge, still trying to straighten his collar out as he had only gotten dress a few minutes before. “..and you said nothing ever happens on your shift.” Tenzing said to NLtCmdr Bob as he took his station at Operations. “Scans should be up momentarily, but I’d suggest sending out a probe to get a better reading on the long-distance scans.”

Fredrickson nodded and arranged for the security team to meet him in the shuttlebay, leaving the bridge to meet the team down there.
Meanwhile, Starr was in his quarters when his commbadge chirpped. =/\=I’ll mee the captain there=/\=.
Simon tugged on his uniform, and already had suspicions on those responsible. “So much for a good night’s sleep,” he said to himself, leaving the quarters for the shuttle bay.

About an hour later, Trainor returned to the Bridge after not being needed down in the shuttlebay to see if the scans from the probe came in. The Operations Chief wasn’t sure he’d find anything suspicious, but it didn’t hurt to check.

The probe’s scans would indeed show a disabled Federation ship sitting in a Nebula–corroborating the story that Codem gave–so far.

“Hmm, at least that checks out,” Trainor muttered to himself as he poured over the data. “Something must be out of the ordinary, I just have to find it.” The Operations Chief added.

The lack of any sort of disturbance that would’ve been produced by a ship arriving after the Montezuma would be disturbing, as even when cloaked, ships were still solid.
