His duty shift was over and Tabris had one thing left to do, his meeting with the ship’s counselor. He gathered up his belongings, his 2265 era PADD with his last psych eval on it, and headed out of engineering while he pulled up the ship’s layout on what was to most an antique brick. He followed the now dimly backlit floor plans as he didn’t want to get lost for yet another time. He checked his watch, this time a lovely number featuring Snoopy with a background of the Starry Night painting, and saw that for once on this ship he wasn’t running behind. The engineer didn’t realize the amount of, shall we say, soot left on him from cleaning the impulse manifold and when he arrived at the counselor’s door there were distinct streaks left on his uniform, hands, and a long strip down the left side of his face.
