After finishing up his evals and a less than stellar introduction to the Chief of Security, John to go to his quarters and get settled in before his shift started. His bags had already arrived ahead of him. John took a look around his quarters, they were bigger than his dorm room at the academy and one side bonus, no roommates. Not that he minded his Bajoran room mate, but they had very little in common, She liked to “socialize” and preferred to spend his free time studying. He was about to get something from the replecator when he heard his door chime.“enter” he said turning towards the door

Tabris was making his rounds through the quarters of all the new arrivals. From what had happened in Riley & Genard’s quarters he didn’t want anyone to go without replicators or otherwise. He had a tool bag slung over his shoulder.

There was a short awkward pause before John finaly broke the silence.
“Um hi?” he asked “is there something i can help you with?”

“Good afternoon, pardon me dropping by but I’m Tabris with Engineering. We’ve had a few new arrivals with replicators or sonic showers that haven’t been fully set up and I wanted to make sure everything was working well for you. Do you mind if I do a quick diagnostic check?” Tabris said as he shifted the weight in this tool bag to the front and pulled out a worn, but well loved, 2260’s era tricorder and waited for permission to begin the work.

Tolly motioned with his hands for him to come in the room, “Of Course, I was just about order something from the replecator” John said. “But it would probably be a good idea to make sure they’re working, Wouldn’t want to try to order a beer and get Deloblian Slime juice instead” He chuckled as he moved out of the way for Tabris.
