OOC:
Will try blend this with the other Pre-Sim medical being in the same place.

IC:
Flint sat thereafter his medical had finsihed gazing at the size of this sickbay “I knew the design specifications defined it as big, but this seems bigger in person” he thought to himself.

With his background in medicine defined at such a young age, he hoped that he would step up into his parent’s shoe’s, having such a passion for keeping life rolling along in a contained environment has always gripped him.

Flint stood up and started to walk towards his new CMO’s desk to get the process rolling.

As he was approaching the doors to the CMO’s office they opened and a young woman stepped out. She was looking down at a PADD and almost walked right into the ensign before noticing him. “Oh!” She exclaimed, “My apologies! I didn’t see you there.” She stepped back and made eye contact. “You must be one of my new staff, I’m Dr. Marshall and I am very glad you are here. We have been short staffed for quite some time now.”

Flint threw a quick smile at how his CMO seemed to be pleased to have him here, it made him feel at ease almost instantly.

“I’m glad to be aboard” he said with a sping in his voice, keeping the eye contact that was thrown his way. “Ensign Flint Locke, reporting for duty”.

“Dr. Hayley Marshall, pleased to meet you Dr. Locke. Would you prefer to get your onboard physical done first or your onboard interview?”

OOC:
Looks like Trax has picked up the medical, so will work with it!

IC:
“Happy to get going as soon as possible…” Flint said excitedly “Shall we kick off the interview?”.

Flint was no stranger to medical interviews, but something about this particular one bought memories back. His parents had provided the guidance on how to handle himself in tough and decisive situations, hoping this was something he could bring to this posting.

OOC: Sounds good, interview it is.

Hayley gestured toward her office indicating he should lead the way. “After you.” Once they both entered the office she ordered a green tea from the replicator and took a seat behind the desk. “Feel free to grab something from the replicator before you sit down. Sometimes in Medical you never know when your next break will come along.”

Jr. Lt. Marshall, CMO

Flint walked over to the replicator and touched the request button “Water, Carbonated” he said, taking his drink and himself to the desk where the Cheif was sitting, he pulled back the chair and placed himself down.

“I have to agree there, even at the academy it was always non-stop” he said with a smile.

“I think that was their way of preparing us for the real thing. A career in Medical is not for the faint of heart” Hayley sipped at her tea, enjoying its fragrance and warmth. “So what are your thoughts on being here? Do you have a specialty or an area of particular interest?”

Jr. Lt. Marshall, CMO

Flint took a sip of his drink, oddly mimicking the CMO, and took a small pause as to where to go with the posed question, his parents paved the way for a particular field in medicine but Flint had other ideas.

With knowing he couldn’t reveal much of his assigned past, Flint went on as honestly as he could to his new CMO without breaking the rules.

“Really looking forward to becoming part of a structured environment” he said sheepeshly taking another sip of his water. “I have a keen interest in fieldwork, really getting stuck on and hands-on with modern medicine”.

Flint was guided towards pharmaceuticals from his youth, but he knew things were changing, his parents could not see the benefits of new world technologies and their advantages… “Slightly narrow-minded” he thought to himself.

“I also like to focus on nano technology for new medical research” he said.
