[snip]It was currently 0900 hours in the morning and on the bridge Fleet Captain Drudoc Andone was in her center chair reviewing some PADD work, due to the light work load involved in their simple cargo run Drudoc had given much of the senior staff time off to relax and recoup as they wished, though if anyone wanted to pull some extra bridge duty or get their junior officers up on the bridge this was of course the time to do so.
Turning to each department staffed position on duty she asked out of the blue. “..Any departments got anything to report for the daily events?” She asked.

Mazi had chosen to volunteer for Bridge duty because… well because she had nothing better to do with her days. As the Captain asked for Department reports, she turned and nodded. “Engineering report this morning says Holodeck one is operational once more. The final panels were replaced. No programs were affected. Also, the Main Warp Core is functioning at better than 100%. Also, Ensign Dockers is relieved of duty for two days as a result of a late night accident that turned his ankle.” She glanced back at her console then shrugged. “That’s it from Engineering. Oh, and the Security Systems on Deck Six are still a bit shaky with regards to force fields 2.4 and 2.5. They are currently being worked on.” She hadn’t been called on to give a morning report before, so she was a bit excited to finally get the chance.

”..Noted Ensign, keep me apprised of any updates..” Drudoc said.
“I can have someone from my team help the Engineers assigned to the security systems if needed, Lieutenant,” Tenzing said as he brought up his morning reports. ” I should also have a full inventory completed within the next two hours, Captain.” The Operations Officer added. Trainor scrolled down the list to find something either intriguing or important.
“Looks like our Cultural Specialist is holding workshops covering Vulcans and Romulans this week.” The Lieutenant Commander smirked. “Anyone who confuses the two are entering a world of trouble, I doubt even the Vulcans would hold back their emotions on that one.” He added.

”..Mmm a wise idea given recent troubles among the children.” Drudoc mused. Thankfully Faval and his son Ron’al had requested and been granted a transfer off the ship shortly before their cargo run.
As Trainor reviewed his logs, it seems he accidently hit the wrong button.....or something. As over the bridge speakers old Earth performer Andy Williams ‘It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ began to play.
Drudoc turned with a raised eyebrow to Trainor as the music began playing.

=^=Fayth to Bridge. We’ve had an incident down here in the arboretum. The security feeds were cut off for the time we are looking at and then the ships scans cut out at the same time as well. Before I get security down here, is there anything going on I should know about?=^=

Over the comms the music of Andy Williams ‘It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ was playing. Drudoc unable to turn it off on her end yet, replied. =/\= It seems we’re also experiencing some holiday ‘cheer’ up here on the bridge. Run a diagnostic see if there’s any cause of malfunction before alerting security, try a backup database rebuild from the tertiary core. =/\= She said.

It was at that moment yet another comm call came in the voice on the other end did not sound amused at all in the background with the voice was a rendition of ‘Dashing through the snow’ =^=”Bridge this is Engineering…What in the name of Montgomery Scott is going on!?! Is there some Tradition of Pranks that I was not aware of? It’s currently snowing down here and playing some weird horrifying overly cheerful song!?!”=^= the voice of the caitian chief shouted

“I’m unable to turn this off, Captain,” Trainor called out over the tunes. The Operations Chief had a pretty good idea of what was going on once Miz’uki mentioned it was snowing. “Environmental controls haven’t been touched, but sooner or later the Q Claus will appear,” Tenzing added having enough run-ins with him to know his tricks. “That, or someone is going to be spending a lot of time in the brig.”

”..I’m suspecting you are right, Lt Commander..” Drudoc said then hit the reply for the chief engineer’s call. =/\= Andone to Miz’uki we’re equally having similar problems up here and across the ship. We are beginning to suspect either pranks by the Q or else someone or a group of the crew are going to be spending quite a bit of time in the ship’s holding cells. =/\= She said.
It was at this point Trainor’s efforts to shut off the music succeeded casting the bridge into blessed silence.

There was a moment of silence on the other end as what the captain said sank in then =^=”Ohhhh NO NO NO! It best not be that Overinflated Idiotic Puffed up Ball of Insanity that is Q”=^= She growled in reply =^=”If He is involved you May need to have Security hold me back…That being is a menace to all Starships!”=^=
