Meanwhile inside the runabout Tabirs would receive the biggest....but not life threatening....shock of his life as electricity jolted up his arm from the panel he was working on knocking him out.

It was really more out of instinct than anything else that Sharah’s mind reached out at the cold chill seeking a reason for it. It wasn’t even conscious, but just a reaction. Feelings such as that tended to be caused, for her anyway, by detecting the emotions of someone else near her. Her mind simply sifted it, identified it, if she could amongst the noise, and sifted it. It wasn’t always that clean though, but her mind attempted it. She lifted the hatch, and the array blew in front of her, startling her, causing her to begin coughing violently from all the smoke, and she fell down the short ladder from the combination of shock and coughing. Blinking the smoke out of her eyes and still coughing she climbed back up and looked around. The sensory array was....in pieces…she pulled out her tricorder and started taking scans.

The cold chill and sudden mini explosion rattled her. “Tabris,” cough, “come up here, please.” Cough “Computer, give me all sensor readings from the runabout and the Ark Angel for the shuttle bay for the last 5 minutes. Display on the main screen in the runabout (OOC not sure the name of the runabout).” Something didn’t sit right, she felt uneasy, and she wasn’t sure why, but she’d learned to trust that instruct. She didn’t want to make a generic call and create something of nothing. She needed someone who knew her and could judge if she was simply feeding off the stress around her, or something else…=^=Fayth to Rainns. If you aren’t busy could you come to the shuttle bay, please.=^= Her voice seemed calm, broken by an occasional cough but there was a slight edge to it that he would notice. She wasn’t going to call the CO or XO until she knew something more concrete.

Lt jg Fayth, CSO

One could accuse Joseph of favoritism, with the speed in which he arrived at the shuttlebay. Rainns would just say he was doing his job. However, the deep breathing Joseph would be doing as he entered the shuttlebay, with his hand on his phaser, would betray the fact that he had been moving at a pace faster than walking. He quickly made his way to the shuttle craft. “How may I be of assistance to you Lieutenant?” He asked in a casual tone.

LT. Jg. Joseph Rainns- COS

Sharah was sitting on top of the runabout and without looking felt Joseph enter, but she turned and glanced over as he made his way into the shuttle. Hand on his phaser, she shook her head muttering under her breath with a smile, “Always the hot shot.” She came down the ladder back inside the vessel. Normally they didn’t engage in telepathy on duty, but…’Imzadi, if you needed that phaser you would know it. I wouldn’t bother with the comms. I’d be in your head screaming for you. And I’d make sure you could see and hear everything I could before you got here.’ She wasn’t quite sure he didn’t need it though. “Thank you Lt.” She pointed up at the hatch, “The sensor array exploded. I had just finished running a level 1 diagnostic on the sensor array. The arrays needed realigning. The runabout was in diagnostic and maintenance mode so no power should have been running through the system. When I opened the hatch to do the realignment it exploded, in my face. Pretty mild, lots of pieces and smoke, no fire. But…” She looked at him. She didn’t want to cause panic for what might be a coincidence. Her thoughts moved into his mind, ‘I felt,’ and she tapped her head, ‘something. I can’t quite describe it. It was….cold, and it’s making me feel jumpy, but it happened at the same time I opened the hatch, right before the array exploded.’ She wasn’t sure exploded was the best term, but there were pieces everywhere and lots of smoke. ‘I didn’t want to make a general call for security if what I felt wasn’t related, if it was just too much noise. I wanted someone who knows me well enough to know if I’m wrong.’

She walked over to the screen in the cockpit, “I’m waiting for the computer to give me sensor readings from the Ark Angel. En Asam is going to look at it.”

=/\= Compiling request =/\= The computer intoned. Then buzzed =/\= Error in internal security sensor platforms. Can not complete request, please alert the security department of possible tampering.=/\= It stated.

GM CockRoach

Sharah stared at the screen for a moment and then turned to Joseph, “Do you want me to cancel the repairs to the other vessels for now?”

Lt. jg Fayth, CSO

Joseph’s level of anxiety dropped, but only a little. “Let’s focus on solving the issue at hand first before we move on to other vessels.” He said calmly. =^=Computer, scan the shuttlebay for lifesigns, list how many and what type are detected.=^= Joseph found it hard to believe that Sharah’s senses would have been triggered by a computer malfunction. He suspected there was another presence nearby, and was hoping to address his little theory quickly. His hand still resting on the phaser. He turned back to Sharah, “Why exactly are you guys running diagnostics on these shuttles anyway?”

Lt. Jg. Joseph Rainns- COS

Sharah nodded and stepped out of the shuttle calling to Thanton, “Hold off on repairs. Run the diagnostics, but let’s get a compiled list before we start making repairs.” She returned to the shuttle and Rainns. “We were checking to make sure they weren’t damaged in the,” what was the word, “trip. And then just doing basic maintenance. It’s keeping the crews focused, and it’s not a bad idea to make sure they are all ready to go if we need them.” She was giving her staff something to do, and it was beneficial to keep up with regular maintenance.

=/\= Biological scan complete, 8 humanoid life signs detected. Errors still detected in internal security sensor platforms =/\= It said matching the current crew present in the bay and echoing its error from earlier.

GM CockRoach

“Computer is the error in the security sensor platforms in the Fulcrum class runabout or in Ark Angel or both?” It occurred to Sharah that they didn’t know which security platform had been damaged.

=/\= Possible tampering error is located in shuttlebay 1 ship sensors =/\= The computer answered.

She nodded, “That’s right, 4 science officers, 3 engineering, and you. Maybe the Ark Angel’s systems picked up something the shuttle didn’t?” She moved to the hatch and called up, “Tabris did you find anything?” But there was no answer, she went up the ladder, and no En Asam. She came back down and looked around. The floor hatch where he’d been running a diagnostic was still open. She looked down seeing his body and apparently unconscious. “Asam!” She looked up at Joseph, “He appears to be unconscious.” Her anxiety level went up. What was going on? She’d hoped it was just the stress from everyone around. But she’d learned to trust her instincts. She moved into the medbay on the runabout grabbed a tricorder and went down the hatch tapping her combadge as she went. =^=Fayth to Sickbay. We need a doctor in the shuttle bay. Somethings happened to En Asam.=^= She’d be able to tell them more when she got a reading on him.

Lt. jg Fayth, CSO

This was certainly a peculiar situation. Rainns could say that much for it. He hadn’t the slightest idea what was happening, but a mystery was presenting itself, and Rainns loved a mystery. “tampering…” he muttered as Sharah climbed the hatch. His mind began to move quickly. =^= Computer, identify the nature of the error.=^= He said. As soon as he finished talking he hear Sharah call out and looked down to see the ensign unconscious. His hand once again slide down to his phaser, and he began anxiously waiting for the computer’s response. “It might be best to get out of this vehicle when we can.” He called down to Sharah.

Lt. Jg. Joseph Rainns- COS

Sharah scanned Asam with the tricorder, “It looks like he got an electrical shock.” She was fairly certain he was safe to move, but she didn’t have all the readings yet. Her time as a doctor helped, but someone from sickbay should be here soon to make that determination. She looked up at Joseph, “I’m in agreement, but I can’t lift him up by myself.” She climbed out of the crawl space, moving the tools and access panels out of the way. She didn’t want to call anyone else into the runabout if someone had been tampering with the systems. “I’d use the transporter to move him, but what if that system is faulty too? I can call a couple NEs in to help move him.” If he thought they needed to get out then she wasn’t going to argue with him. She called him because she trusted his judgement.

Tabris was unconscious, that much was certain, however he was not unaware. The shock did something to not just his body but his mind, he could feel the worry and sense of urgency around him. There was no way for him to communicate back that his mind was working. It’s not safe to say that he was even conscious, more that he was acting like a receiver for the emotions around him. As it bounced around his head it stirred his consciousness to where his eyelids fluttered, still shut he was fighting to come to the conscious world.
