He sucked the too-oxygenated air across his breathers, tasting the slightly-off difference from his home atmosphere as he paused a few feet from the doors to sickbay 1. He wasn’t afraid of doctors, per se, but being the one Barzan that most would have seen he often felt like the veritable side show performer, as the humans would say. He rubbed the ridges above his hairless brow and stepped into range of the doors and through them as they opened.A young ensign looked up at him. “Hi, can we help you?” he asked.
“Rhansi, Nivor, here for my boarding physical,” he responded, eyes sweeping the facilities. “These Mythology-class ships are definitely the cream of the crop,” he commented.

“They certainly are that,” NE Nurse Markus replied with a smile. “Why don’t you have a seat there and I will let Dr. Marshall know you are here.” He gestured toward Biobed 2 and gave the Lt. Commander a respectful nod before stepping aside and sending a quick message to (and getting a quick reply from) the CMO.
A moment later a young woman stepped out of the CMO’s office and approached Nivor at Biobed 2. She was slender with long black hair, loosely french braided with tendrils escaping around her very fair and lightly freckled face. She wore no make-up and all in all looked about 18 earth years old. She smiled as she met Nivor’s eyes. “Welcome to Sickbay Lt. Commander, what can I do for you today?”
