So they were flung across the known universe and into a distant quadrant far, far, faaaaar away from all they’ve explored. Not ideal but V’alura was confident they’ll find their way home. In the mean time, they were still stuck in a strange galaxy full of reality altering bubbles and an omnipotent and all powerful Q. Just a normal day in space! (Please let me pretend this is a normal day in space.) V’alura, never one to mope or sit by while people were in need, threw together a little plan. The plan? Host a series of competitive game tournaments with fabulous prizes to win!
V’alura got the message around about her little entertainment bash. There will be three tournaments: Tetris, Bowling, and Poker. She had three prizes: A fancy and private meal of fresh food from the kitchen, a lovely (non-replicated!) original art sculpture, and one of her personally crafted holodeck adventures. This accounted for a nice spread of interest and skill and prizes that people could hopefully get excited for. This whole thing will be a win if V’alura could get people to forget about their current predicament, even if only for a few hours.
V’alura even took the time to decorate the recreation hall a little, adding colorful streamers around the room. Several civilians volunteered to work the bar and hand out snacks. To sign up for any of the tournaments, there was a console near the entrance to the hall. For the Tetris tournament, V’alura set up giant holoscreen displays so that everyone can see the game (and had several PaDDs handy to explain the rules). And as the first of the party-goers arrived, V’alura greeted each one with a smile and answered any questions while encouraging everyone to kick back and relax.
