OOC: Another quick retitle to include science JOs!!

After calming down in the holodeck Miz’uki returned to her office she had to get working on plans to return home =^=Ltjg Mazi and Ensign Weir and anyone from science currently free please report to the Chief Engineers office”=^= she called before turning to her research

She had Narrowed down the possibilities to three two of which had been discovered by Voyager while she was in the delta quadrant Quantum Slipstream and Graviton Gates the third was Building a Flea’tan relay that was going to be a long process and might not be possible unless they found some help and more resources while the other two she needed to do more reading up on and who knows how long they could take

still she needed to know what her engineers and the science team had found

Miz’uki

NLt Garns voice from science soon came back =/\= NLt Garns here chief, I’ll get Ensigns Belmont and Wisniewski down there for you.=/\=

Caelian stepped into the office looking a little dogged but no worse for wear from his runabout experience. Nearly all of his focus was directed at the PaDD in his hand until he heard the door hiss shut behind him. Blinking, he looked up with a very bewildered expression, almost as if he hadn’t expected to be where he was. He offered the chief a faint smile, snapping the PaDD down to his side.

“Ensign Weir, reporting as ordered, sir.”

“sorry ensign I am a little scatterbrained at the moment” Miz’uki purred as she got up from her desk transferring her research to a PaDD “Change of plans we are going to be having a joint Engineering and Science department meeting” she explained walking towards the ensign =^=”Attention Engineering and Science Departments please report to Main Engineering for a meeting about how we get back home”=^= she called her tail was swishing about showing her mood was agitated the chief was still quite on edge overall and while she was trying her best it was clear that she was still not doing so well at the moment

He blinked at the barrage, offered a slight smile. Hasn’t the plan been getting home the whole time? he thought wryly to himself. The chief must really have had her tail in a twist if she was this flustered. Caelian wanted to get home to Earth—even Federation space would work in his book, but home was better—as much as the next crewman, so he certainly could appreciate the anxious energy. Still and yet, they hadn’t been gone too awful long and they were already making progress with the modifications to the ship.

And I haven’t run out of ideas yet, he chuckled to himself. Waiting for the chief to settle a bit, he tried his best to hold his smile.

“We’ll figure it out, chief.” Caelian hoped his tone wasn’t as tired as he felt. “This is the kind of thing we trained for in the Academy, right? We’ll tackle one problem, move on to the next. Next thing you know, we’ll be tucked in a space dock somewhere with stories to tell!”

That was his hope, anyhow. He had every confidence that he and the crew of the Ark Angel could solve this problem given enough time, information, and resources. Every moment they were out in this section of space they were learning, adding to the sum total of mankind’s technology and experience. All the pieces were there. It was just a matter of figuring a way to put them all together. While he wasn’t senior staff or a grizzled Starfleet officer with years of deep space under his belt, he felt he had something to contribute.

Nodding confidently to the chief, he hefted his PaDD and queued up the sensor logs from the runabout, particularly the energy patterns of the protoforms and the data he’d collected about the aliens as they high-tailed back to the Angel. While he had been forced to alter his thought process once he learned the nature of the strange energy bubbles, his experiments weren’t completely torpedoed.

“It’s just a matter of connecting the dots in an unconventional way,” he murmured to himself.
