“Commander? If necessary, I am willing to volunteer my skills as pilot to speak to the classroom,” said Sek’hath without hesitation.

Masi nodded her agreement. “You seem uniquely qualified. Unless you have any further inquiries as to the nature of your position or the operation of the bridge, I’d suggest you get down there posthaste.”

“Very well. I believe the human vernacular is ‘wish me luck?’” replied Sek’hath. He logged out of his console with a flick of his fingertips and made his way back to the turbolift.

“I will be certain to provide a full report upon my return,” he added wryly as the turbolift doors swished open and shut behind him. He set his destination for the ship’s classroom and wondered to himself what awaited him.
