Ella was keen to continue with her high spirits as she continued to further integrate herself into the Ark Angels crew, things were already slowly going in the right direction and people gawked at her less each day. She’d decided today, (having every day introduced herself to a new crewmate each day) that she was going to introduce herself to Ensign Demil Lis in her continued efforts to fit in with the crew. Demil was what Ella understood a Trill, she also understood that she like some other Trill were ‘joined’ in some kind of symbiosis relationship with (mixed explanations from different sources) another lifeform, worm, snake etc. ‘ And people thought Elasians were barbaric.’ she thought not truly understanding the relationship.None the less she entered the science Lab she had been directed to by some of her other colleagues to hunt down the Ensign.

The young ensign was in the corner of one of the cybernetics lab, in the middle of working on a simulation. He was in one of the rare periods of freetime when he wasn’t running errands for anyone who’d give him one or doing overtime work on any and all projects. He looked up as the door opened and waved to the new arrival, before noticing the second rank pip and snapping to attention. “Good morning, ma’am. How can I help you?” He asked, the question rolling crisply off his tongue.

Ella looked around and could see that besides her everyone else with either an Ensign or unlisted, “Oh call me Ella, especially when it’s just us” by us she meant no other officers. “I wanted to get my introduction out of the way, I tend to have an effect on… people.” She left the comment hanging between them, perhaps she’d be lucky and the Ensign loved his work or something equally more important for her Elasian ‘gifts’ to not rub off on him.
