“Not from me. Let’s take you down to your office, get you settled in.” Masi rose and gestured to the door.
She led him to the turbolift and when they were both in she said “Deck 14.”

Kyle grinned to himself, this was going well, so now seemed an appropriate time to ask, “Commander, can I ask? Do you like Jazz?”

Masi glanced over at Kyle, not expecting this. “You know, for the longest time I knew the word and that it was a kind of music, but I never actually listened to it until I went to the academy. Turns out I do like jazz, but I never would’ve predicted that.”

Kyle grinned and arched an eyebrow, “In that case, could I tempt you to join me on the Holodeck at the end of our shift, I’d like to show you something.”

“Sounds nice, I’ll be there.” Masi said. And then the turbolift door opened. She stepped out and walked down to the security department. “Lieutenant Anders, this belongs to you now.”-XO
Kyle took a cautious step over the threshold into his office and took a deep breath, taking in the sights around him. The realisation dawned on the young man quickly that his new office looked like a more sleek and modern version of his father’s office aboard the Nightengale, which brought a small reminiscent tear to his eye. Kyle chuckled to himself and turned to face Commander Dirida, “I feel like I need a bunkmate.”
