”..A history? Of sorts I guess. I have been in command of both the Mjolnir class heavy dreadnought carrier version of the Ark Angel and this current iteration of the Ark Angel as a Mythology class deep space explorer.” Drudoc said. “..Sadly many of those who were on the carrier have since gone on to serve on other ships or their own commands.” she added, “..That said we have made our mark in some form with both versions. While as a carrier we were the first ship to launch a full complement of non-warp capable fighters within our warp bubble safely at warp 9, there by being able to drop out of warp nearly on top of a heavily defended Orion raiding outpost and take them by surprise and not waste time in launching the fighters at sublight..” she said. “..that event is what caused our suggestions and refit of several fighter designs to include low key warp capabilities to augment the fleets..” she explained.

Then with a smile Drudoc continued, “..As for our current Ark Angel, we’ve had quite the long string of missions. We established peaceful first contact up till now with no fewer than 13 new species deep in the Beta Quadrant. We discovered a link between HP Lovecraft’s works on Earth in the 1920s about his Cthulhu Mythos could have been influenced by actual contact with unknown alien powers at that time, we found during one of our Beta Quadrant explorations an artifact which transcended the bounds of known space, time and sciences which we had to destroy to keep it out of the hands of an unknown alien power we encountered. We worked with the Flea’tan Alliance to establish a safe means of transport with their Jump Relays into the Andromeda Galaxy and set up a joint Federation-Flea’tan Alliance outpost and colony for future exploration efforts. While there we also followed up on some covert missions of another ship and established friendly contact with the Rec’tel Alliance, the Bel’chet Empire, and the Hork States. We were instrumental in defeating Vorthsoth forces in subspace planning an invasion of the fractured remains of the Star Empire. We brought the three major factions of the Imperial Navy, Tal’shiar and the breakaway colony systems of the Rek’tal Alliance to the diplomatic table to cease further attacks on each other which have paved the way for some effort to restore order to the Empire and its citizens. We performed several missions on temporal study using Red Matter as well as refining efforts to defend against temporal incursions and disruptions. We performed deep space independent surveys far beyond explored space in the Beta Quadrant of no less than 32 systems, many of which are now being setup as future mining and colonial interests for the Federation and their allies.” she explained, pausing to take a sit of her water glass. “..Most recently though we were sent by Q far beyond any known bounds of exploration into the GNz-11 galaxy, where we established contact with a Dark Matter based life form, which we found reacts upon their death to thoughts of intelligent based life nearby. We also devised provisions for future studies of both Slipstream, Transwarp, and Jump Relay construction and use during that time with Q. So yes I would say I and the Ark Angel do have quite a history of sorts. But none of those events could have been possible without the aide of the crew at those times..” she said with another smile.

Drudoc Andone CO

Mykl hadn’t expected the years long list of achievements the Cmdre had accomplished over the years. While her face maintained a look of interest and neutrality, she wondered if Andone was that long winded all of the time. “It certainly sounds like you’ve had your fair share of excitement in the past. Do you think you’ve had an exceptionally adventurous career or would you put in on average with other Captain’s?”

—Najjar, CNS

”..Overall my careers in both the Star Empire and the Federation have had their ups and downs. But yes I would guess I have had a more adventurous career compared to what some would consider to be ‘normal’..” She answered.

Najjar was nodding. “I have to say I agree with you. I’ve met many Captains who haven’t experienced even half the amount of adventure you have. Knowing some of the Ark Angels’ past deeds was a main factor in my applying for this position. So, do you have any concerns I need to be made aware of—for yourself or any of the crew?”

—Najjar, CNS

”..In part, my main concern for the crew is their own mental health. We have had many a stressful missions the past year and a half and most of those were without any counseling staff aboard due to shortages in the fleet. Getting everyone evaluated and passed would be a welcome relief to me. As for myself? I have kept up to date as best I could filing pysch evaluations of my missions after our return from them at Starbase 243. So far ‘no issues to report’ as been the bill of health I’ve been given on each evaluation. That said having some normal sessions on duty would not be a bad thing either I suppose..” Drudoc replied.

Mykl nodded. “Your attitude is refreshing. A lot of CO’s are adamant that their crew receive regular access to a mental health expert but don’t count themselves in need of one. It makes my job easier when command doesn’t put up a fight.” She smiled at the Cmdre. “I also want to thank you for making allowances for my companion, Pic. I know we have unusual circumstances, but I appreciate how easy you and the Ark Angel made our transition on board.”
