Main Sim - Blob Science - Main Engineering

Just as Kriv’s work completed Katie’s own work completed, but there was a possible indication something blob related was afoot. In this case in the rear of main engineering in the side room where the Flea’tan core was maintained. Further it was just at that moment the ship shuddered lightly from a weapon’s impact, evidently whoever or whatever had called them to red alert was also attacking now.

Demil ran to the side room after looking at Katie’s results. “I can deal with this! It looks like you two might have other problems to worry about soon!” he shouted back to the engineers, then began running a more detailed scan. “Computer, isolate any biosigns in this room that aren’t mine,” he ordered while the scan was running.

Just as Demil got into the room and requested his query to the computer, the answer by the computer seemed redundant, besides the Flea’tan Jump Core in the center of two level room, and the myriad of support tubing, and such with it, plus the computer consoles around it, in the middle of the room was a much larger blob then so far encountered, was semi-square in shape, rose a good 10 feet high and a extending tentacle of goo came from it to attach directly into the Flea’tan core, a glance at the nearby power flow readings near Demil showed the big blob was indeed feeding on this alternate core for the Ark Angel. Given it was not used unless interacting with the rare Flea’tan Jump Relay network this was not a big deal, since it did not provide much if any power for day to day ship operations or in combat unless adjusted to do so which it wasn’t currently. Given the power monitor showed the drop in power generation was almost at 42% of normal the blob probably had come here about an hour or so ago and grown to this size since and since the Flea’tan core did not provide any power to the ship its loss of power was overlooked by internal sensors and monitors.

As this was all taken in the Ark Angel shuddered again from weapon strikes, and their was the dull muted thump and whine of return fire of torpedoes and phasers in kind to their foe they were fighting.

But again this second of notice of other things was taken out of his hands when this big blob seemed to sense his presence, and a gooey appendage emerged out of the big blob, with lighting like strike it slapped Demil aside to the left near the side of the door he had just come through, he was a bit bruised but otherwise fine, though likely would feel sore after this was all over. A gurgle from within the blob was also a result of this action.

OOC: Bump!
