Marlaa smiled at the XO and have to the center chair to the higher ranking officer. “I think passive might be the best course of action. Especially if we aren’t sure how it’ll react.”
Settling herself in her own chair to the right of where the XO now day, she nodded. “And I think everyone’s ready, regardless. Is there a way to boost the probes so they can read sooner and from a greater distance? Just in case, of course.” She nodded to the screen between them, where the chart showed their progress.

Sifeda nodded in agreement, “That is a good suggestion. I will pose the question to Lieutenants Buchanan and Baptiste since they are starting the work on the probes and get their feedback.” She tapped her commbadge and said, =^= Itri to Baptiste and Buchanan. Sifeda noticed the ETA update then said, “Okay, well we will be arriving in the star system soon.” As she sat in the center chair there was a thoughtful look on her face. We need to make sure we are prepared when we do arrive. We are obviously at some point are going to have to go on planet. We should prepare a preliminary away team. I think we need personnel from each department.” She tapped her commbadge, =^=Lieutenant Anders when you get a chance could you stop by the bridge?=^=

Our ETA is approximately 36 hours and I’d like you on the bridge to discuss the logistics of assembling an away team. No rush. You can report to the bridge after Captain Freeman and his wife are settled in.=^=

Just as the XO was making their call the NE at comms behind them spoke up, “..Ma’am? We got a hail coming in from the Volgograd. They got a live update feed on current developments in the J17 system. Shall I put it on screen?” She asked.

Without turning around, Sifeda a nod followed by, “Yes, please.”, as she tuned her eyes to the display screen.

Now that his JO was tasked with assisting the science and engineering departments with setting up the probe, the CMO made his way to the Bridge in an effort to see first-hand data once it was launched. There were still too many questions left unanswered, but it appeared that their only option after a probe was to make their way into the system and make contact in some form. Doctor Stacey had his prosthetist working on a few possible options based on known reptilian species that the Federation had encountered. He believed the models could be easily configured once a visual representation of the Forseth was made.
LtJG Stacey gave a subtle nod to the Counselor and XO as he slide into the mission specialist chair, turning his attention to what just appeared on the viewscreen.
