Main Sim - Bridge - En route to J17

[snip]

On scans the Forseth ships held position about 300km away from the scene of combat, it seems for now still not worth the attention of the confused snake creature which was still swaying its tail back and forth near where it had glanced against the Ark Angel’s shields. Thanks to the NE helm’s maneuvers the snake kept missing. Meanwhile the Volgograd now reduced to 1/2 impulse speed was attempting to maneuver under the distraction to heavier commentary cover just within the system. A fact confirmed by it’s Captain over comms, =/\= Ark Angel whatever you did there seems to have distracted the beast, we’re attempting to find shelter within the cometary cloud nearby, if you can keep its attention for another few minutes we might be able to hide from it..=/\=

=/\= Understood Volgograd..=/\= Drudoc said, “..Helm, try to play a game of cat/mouse with the creature, try to time a glancing blow to keep its focus away from both the Volgograd and Forseth..” she added, =/\= All hands brace for intermittent impacts! =/\= She said ship wide then.

Mar gasped as the jolt brought her attention back to the view screen. After a moment of listening to everything happening, she frowned a moment. “Forgive me, I am no scientist, nor weapons expert… but is there a way to place a shield, similar to the ship, around armament and hit the creature with it? If it feels out shielding, maybe the connection will bring the explosion within its own phase and harm it.” She had no idea how many on the bridge would laugh, scoff or merely shake their head at her ineptitude, but better to speak up and spew nonsense than remain silent and perhaps lose an opportunity.

She quickly turned back to her console to respond to the Forseth. =^=We thank you for your response and look forward to more proper introductions once this is over. Please do not place yourself in harm’s way. We would not wish you to lose life because of our strife.=^= She shook her head and glanced back. “Seems their newness to space isn’t going to be any help at the moment.” She added in her mind, if only this had happened in a few more hours. With the rate the Forseth could learn, because of the time difference, in a few hours, the Forseth could possibly have outshone them in weaponry.

Kaden touched his communicator and said, =/\=Ensign Buchanan to Bridge. After doing a quick simulation and asking the computer for information, a subspace pulse might help keep the creature distracted. I suggest at least trying it to help with the distraction=/\=

Ensign Buchanan Engineering Officer

A subspace pulse, huh? I have ever heard of it being used one time and ions ago. So I am not fully aware of our potential success rate here. However there is a possibility it could work in our favor and subdue the phasing.”

Kaden then responded =/\=I am by no means stating this will subdue the phasing. Based on the simulation and the data provided by the computer, I am hoping it is going to be able to distract the creature to help the Forseth spaceship from continuously being attacked. I just want to make sure I am 100% clear on the expect outcome=/\=. Kaden hoped this was not taking as telling Itri he was wrong but wanted to be 100% clear on what Kaden hoped to accomplish with the subspace pulse. He then went back to the station he monitoring and wanted to see the data provided back from the subspace pulse when it was attempted. He hoped a decent amount of data would be recorded, which could help in the rescue of the Forseth craft.

Ensign Buchanan Engineering Officer

“Noted, but I am going to go back to Demil’s suggestion, and press the fact that we need to resolve the phasing so we can better assist Volgogradand the Forseth ship”.
She went back to Mar’s comment about the shields and made a comment to her. “Marlaa, I don’t think you were too far off on the shield idea as you generated an idea in my head. Buchanan, is it possible to integrate our shields with antichronitons which should force the Ark Angel in a temporal displacement so she can assist the Volograd? If so, on that same note can we also reverse it so can pull the Volograd back with us and so we are not permanently trapped in that temporal plane?”

Itri, XO

OOC: Reply to this coming shortly sorry for the delay!
