Kaden then responded =/\=I am by no means stating this will subdue the phasing. Based on the simulation and the data provided by the computer, I am hoping it is going to be able to distract the creature to help the Forseth spaceship from continuously being attacked. I just want to make sure I am 100% clear on the expect outcome=/\=. Kaden hoped this was not taking as telling Itri he was wrong but wanted to be 100% clear on what Kaden hoped to accomplish with the subspace pulse. He then went back to the station he monitoring and wanted to see the data provided back from the subspace pulse when it was attempted. He hoped a decent amount of data would be recorded, which could help in the rescue of the Forseth craft.

“Noted, but I am going to go back to Demil’s suggestion, and press the fact that we need to resolve the phasing so we can better assist Volgograd and the Forseth ship”.
She went back to Mar’s comment about the shields and made a comment to her. “Marlaa, I don’t think you were too far off on the shield idea as you generated an idea in my head. Buchanan, is it possible to integrate our shields with antichronitons which should force the Ark Angel in a temporal displacement so she can assist the Volograd? If so, on that same note can we also reverse it so can pull the Volograd back with us and so we are not permanently trapped in that temporal plane?”

Itri, XO

“I’m happy to liase with Engineering on this if you need Commander, we don’t want any unnecessary surprises.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

Just after Anders said this the ship shuddered as a glancing impact hit their shields knocking them down to 72%. The creature it seems though had started to loose interest and was making its way back to try to find the Volograd. Drudoc seeing that spoke up, “..Helm! Get us in front of the creature, keep trying to keep its attention..” She said.

”..Aye ma’am!” the NE said.

Sifeda nodded at Anders, “Thank you Lieutenant Anders, I think is a great idea.” She looked at the Commodore and said, “Unless of course you have other thoughts on the matter.”

Itri, XO

”..Our temporally adjusted shields are already using such modifications. But a subspace pulse could do the trick, we need to act quickly though to find the correct phasing pattern..” Drudoc said.

“Of course they are,” she said under her breath. The she smiled and said to Anders, “Thank you for offering to liaise with engineering, you are always willing to show initiative, Lieutenant.”
She then activated the comm then said to Buchanan, “Did you get that. Your subspace pulse it a viable option, you just need to find the correct phasing pattern.”

Kaden responded =/\=Yes ma’am. I have been listening to the discussion. I am going to prepare the pulse now. Give me a few seconds to confirm with the computer. I will respond when the pulse is ready to go.=/\=

Sifeda said, “Acknowledged and good work.”

Kaden then turned his attention to the computer. He then asked the computer, “Please confirm, if possible, the needed phasing pattern in order to provide the best change for the pulse to actually work and distract or even stun the creature. After confirming it, please prepare the pulse using that pattern and let me know when its ready.” He then waited for the computer to respond. Kaden hoped this would work. Based on the simulations, it should work but one never knows if the simulations actually work in real life.

“Would powering the pulse through the deflector dish allow for a more focused area of effect?” Anders was no engineer, but liked how much of an effect ‘taking initiative’ seemed to have on the senior staff.

Impressed with his quick thinking Sifeda nodded at him with raised eyebrows.

Itri, XO

=/\=Lt Anders, I will have the computer check this to see if this will help with the pulse because of the more focused area. Thank you for the idea.=/\= Kaden responded to the Lt. He then said to the computer, “Computer, during your configuration, would it help if the pulse was sent through the deflector dish? If so, make it part of the preparation” He then waited for the computer to respond.

Mar listened to the banter of ideas and execution of orders fly back and forth between bridge members and the other ship departments. It gave her greater insights into the workings of the crew…
… And their Captain.

A ship in crisis lowered shield between people and brought the best in them… Usually.

In this case, it brought out the best in everyone.
