As this all happened (aka the above link!) Buchanan’s request to do a simulation began to be processed. Unfortunately given the computer had no real information on the beast’s habits nor anything really to relate too the computer shot back a negative on ability to help the Ensign. The only thing the computer could suggest would be trying a form of say lights, or subspace pulses, etc in hope it might relate to other space faring life forms. But given the temporal plane shift this didn’t seem likely given it couldn’t perceive the Ark Angel unless it physically brushed against their temporal shields.

Kadan was a little frustrated with the lack of data, as he was hoping some other vessel had experienced this type of creature in the past. He thought to himself before making a decision. He thought maybe the subspace pulse might help with the distraction of the creature from attacking the other vessel. He decided it might be worth trying so he wanted to update the bridge. He touched his communicator and said, =/\=Ensign Buchanan to Bridge. After doing a quick simulation and asking the computer for information, a subspace pulse might help keep the creature distracted. I suggest at least trying it to help with the distraction=/\= He hoped that would work.

OOC: Pasting in the words such said in the bridge thread from those there and those said here....

=/\= Did you get that. Your subspace pulse it a viable option, you just need to find the correct phasing pattern.=/\= The XO’s voice said

Kaden responded =/\=Yes ma’am. I have been listening to the discussion. I am going to prepare the pulse now. Give me a few seconds to confirm with the computer. I will respond when the pulse is ready to go.=/\=

Sifeda said, =/\=Acknowledged and good work.=/\= The XO said

Another shutter then went through the ship as their shields dropped to 63% some panels flickering nearby as power was rerouted around the ship.

=/\=Lt Anders, I will have the computer check this to see if this will help with the pulse because of the more focused area. Thank you for the idea.=/\= Kaden responded to the Lt.

He then said to the computer, “Computer, during your configuration, would it help if the pulse was sent through the deflector dish? If so, make it part of the preparation” He then waited for the computer to respond.

After a moment the computer chirped its response =/\= Subspace temporal pulses can be rerouted through the main deflector dish, however no differential effect will occur with this option compared to use of normal deflector panels on the ship’s hull. =/\= It said, basically saying that whether they used the main deflector or the smaller panels at those range would matter little.

Finally over the open comm lines, Buchanan could hear the computer’s reply to Ander’s query on the bridge, =/\= Current temporal phasing pattern appears by projections to run between 10.1-20.5 subspace temporal bands, further exact measurement are impossible at this time. =/\= The computer said. In short they would have to try to run a pulse through those band lengths hoping to catch the right one. This would mean several pulses would be needed in rapid succession it was doable but would draw a lot of reserve power currently being fed into the engines and shields.

Which was soon followed by Ander’s own reply over the comms, =^= Standing by up here when you’re ready Ensign =^=,” Anders responded.
