Kaden then turned his attention to the computer. He then asked the computer, “Please confirm, if possible, the needed phasing pattern in order to provide the best change for the pulse to actually work and distract or even stun the creature. After confirming it, please prepare the pulse using that pattern and let me know when its ready.” He then waited for the computer to respond. Kaden hoped this would work. Based on the simulations, it should work but one never knows if the simulations actually work in real life.

The computer began to hum before replying, another shudder rocking the ship sending shields down to 64% and sending a few consoles flickering as power was rerouted around the ship.

“Would powering the pulse through the deflector dish allow for a more focused area of effect?” Anders was no engineer, but liked how much of an effect ‘taking initiative’ seemed to have on the senior staff.

Impressed with his quick thinking Sifeda nodded at him with raised eyebrows.

Itri, XO

=/\=Lt Anders, I will have the computer check this to see if this will help with the pulse because of the more focused area. Thank you for the idea.=/\= Kaden responded to the Lt. He then said to the computer, “Computer, during your configuration, would it help if the pulse was sent through the deflector dish? If so, make it part of the preparation” He then waited for the computer to respond.

Ensign Buchanan Engineering Officer

Mar listened to the banter of ideas and execution of orders fly back and forth between bridge members and the other ship departments. It gave her greater insights into the workings of the crew…

… And their Captain.

A ship in crisis lowered shield between people and brought the best in them… Usually.

In this case, it brought out the best in everyone.

Mar CNS

”=^= Standing by up here when you’re ready Ensign =^=,” Anders responded, then shot a look at Mar and grinned like a Cheshire Cat, he was impressed with himself and was proud of her too.

Finally the computer chirped out a reply to Anders, =/\= Current temporal phasing pattern appears by projections to run between 10.1-20.5 subspace temporal bands, further exact measurement are impossible at this time. =/\= The computer said. In short they would have to try to run a pulse through those band lengths hoping to catch the right one. This would mean several pulses would be needed in rapid succession it was doable but would draw a lot of reserve power currently being fed into the engines and shields.

A moment later several more shudders from passing near the beast shook the Ark Angel, one quite strong one did no real damage to their shields, but the jolt was enough to do some kind of damage on deck 12. A fact the computer soon alerted those on the bridge, =/\= Alert, EPS relay 16 failure on deck 12, section 19-33, structural failure compromised. =/\= It said. Also shown on the damage report was several NE’s being taken to Sickbay 1 nearby, but that also there was a large scale failure of the fire suppression systems from down the hall allowing the plasma fire to begin to spread further. If someone down there did not get into action quick the plasma fire could spread to the shield generators on that deck compromising shield integrity and if spreading further to deck 11 the lower parts of the computer cores, or down to deck 13 effecting several of the science labs and the shield generators there as well further compromising their shield capacity.
